Do the geodes contain different crystals or are they all the same?

Ours were all white - disappointing given the pictures in the advertisement!

I bought this and I’ve just cracked them all open and they’re all just basic quartz, is that what is supposed to happen?

Primarily white crystals will be found since many different minerals produce a white crystal (e.g. quartz, fluorite, calcite can all be white). Unfortunately, we do not have a way to ensure color geodes are found since part of the fun of geodes is not knowing what is inside until you crack them open!

If there are 10 geodes, why are there only 2 stands? What am I supposed to do with the other 8?

I bought a cheap plastic box from Hobby craft. It is divided into 12 ..for sewing stuff I think. We put it on its end and put an opened geode in each. It makes a perfect display case.

I bought a small soft grip stanley hammer and a set of chisels for this set as a hammer alone is not enough. My 9 yr old could use them himself under supervision but some of them are fairly solid and hard to crack so needed adult help.
