I have ordered a new imac m1 24" computer. i see this is for the 21.5" model. will it be suitable for the new 24". thanking everyone for help.

I’m not certain as I don’t know the dimensions of the new iMac but I’m pretty sure you’ll need the one specifically for the 24” as the older iMacs do have different sized feet according to their screen sizes.

Is them base the same size as the base on the 27” iMac one review photo from Germany shows it smaller

Its the same size as the base of the 27" iMac. There are two versions - the photo might have been showing the smaller version for the 21.5" iMac
