Therefore a neat well made durable protection case is ideal to keep the remote fob safe. This leather version is both well made and very attractively designed as well as being very functional. Additionally the metal machined parts are also well made, making the overall assembly a first class product. My only criticism is that if one ever needs to use the mechanical key it is a major disassembly operation to extract the key from the fob housing. But in truth this is more a shortcoming of the vehicle fob not the leather case. There is only one orifice to attach anything to the fob and that is found in the mechanical key housing. We searched everywhere but never found it. This cover will prevent this from happening again. It's solid leather (some covers have a soft side) and has a leather strap that fits over the key which is secured again with a key ring or the supplied clip assembly. The buttons still work perfectly if needed. It's not bulky, so I just ordered one for my own key chain.
