Review: Important to make sure computer matches the recommended hardware specification. - Works well with i5 intel generation 7 with upgrade to PinnacleStudio 24 No pdf manual with the PinnacleStudio 23 software supplied but once managed to access the support web site Pinnacle/Corel then able to obtain one. Manual's for both PinnacleStudio 24 and PinnacleStudio 23 well written and easy to follow once getting started.
Review: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH WINDOWS 10 - I installed this product on Windows 10 and from the start it dropped frames like crazy. I was getting over 50 dropped frames in a 15 second video recording which means that playback was jerky and uncomfortable to watch. When installed on a Windows 7 PC it worked just fine. I found the same with all the Pinnacle softwares I tried (Studio 18 to 24) and Pinnacle were unable to offer any kind of fix that would cure the problem.

**Q: What is the capture file format?  Not the output file!**
A: Sorry, I don't know. Bought a Dazzle to replace an old MovieBox, but couldn't get it to work. Sent it back for a refund. Have since got my MoviBox working again.TedB

**Q: what exactly does this do?**
A: You connect it to a video player such as VHS or a video camera -either digital video camera or a video 8 camera. Then you connect it to your computer and it will automatically convert your tapes so they can be recorded on your computer. It's hassle free. You could then put your recordings from your computer onto a DVD. Your old tapes will lose quality if you don't convert them

**Q: Can i use it to copy sky+hd recordings to my pc?**
A: This completely depends on how old your sky box is.. it uses composite cables and most sly boxes are now HDMI.. I’m sure you can probably manage it somewhow but I am unaware of how, sorry!

**Q: will this work on windows 8.1.**
A: Running under Windows 7 on my desktop have not tried as yet on my Windows 8.1 laptop. Suggest you contact manufacturer to see if a driver is available for Windows 8.1
