Gedeo 150 ml Color Resin, Amber, 766154

I brought this resin to cast a thin (3mm) piece for a replica prop but I had to quite a few issues using it. Several times it wouldn't cure at all, another time I ended up with something jelly- like that would make a good self healing cutting mat, while a few attempts appeared to be fine then 'melted'. I tried it with 3 different silcones with the same results for each. I also made sure to use clean, dust free mixing pots and kept it covered while curing. I did try two other resin's - a two part epoxy and smoothcast which worked first time in each mold. I eventually managed to get a good cast after using about half of it.When it did work for me it produced a copy that is really nice. Perhaps I'm doing something really wrong 😀
