It does a good job of cutting white styrofoam for fiberglass molds. You have to go slow and use a steady hand.

The packaging was nice. The wire came assembled. The wire cutter seems to be of nice quality. But the controller is all scratched/scuffed up and was not protected or in a bag to protect it. The knife’s wood is very cheap and a little splintered around the hole, but I wasn’t going to use it anyways. It looks like it will work well and everything else was in good condition. The instructions were nice but did have a typo, so it was likely written by a person with english as a second language. The metal was sturdier than I expected and the plastic was lighter in weight than I expected. The knob is firm and turns smoothly, and clicks when off. The stand is surprisingly firm, when the metal is lifted, it snaps into place. It suggests turning off for cool-down after 30 minutes of use and is for low-density foam only. I will update after using.

Go slow. I used it to trim some upholstery foam. The wire is small and it would cool off if trying to go too fast. Patience was a virtue. It got me through the project I ordered it for. Happy I bought it.

Terrible product. Did not work as expected for our event. I bought it too early and then missed the return window when we actually needed it and took it out to use. It burns only - very poorly made. Do not buy and wish I could get a refund.

Poorly made and does not work well. I should have returned it right away but unfortunately I missed the window. It is flimsy, does not cut smoothly and heats up unevenly leading to burns on the foam. It did not cut accurately

The Hot Foam Cutter with digital Voltage Controller works really well for cutting high-density packaging and seating foam, 29-200, which is very easy to use, and I am pleased with the product.
