My cat loves it. Drinks all at once. It seems to fill him up. He is a cat that wants to eat all the time.

My cat (5 years old) lost a ton of weight even though he was eating rather well, and this really helped him perk up and gain back some. On top of that, he is a picky eater with new foods and didn't actually dislike this food. At first he wouldn't lick it, but I just left the food on the bathroom sink where he drinks water before I go to bed. He went for it hungrily after I was asleep, and now he expects his nightly liquid meal.

Here is the deal... Right now as of March 2026, there are two versions of Hydra Care - made in Thailand and made in France. While the ingredients are the same, the SEQUENCE is different which means that the amounts are different. Made in France: Water, glycine, whey protein isolate, glycerin, guar gum, liver flavor, natural flavor, potassium chloride. Made in Thailand: Water, glycine, glycerin, whey protein isolate, guar gum, liver flavor, natural flavor, potassium chloride. Not a huge difference, but visually something is off in the one made in France (I believe this is the old version). The color is darker, and texture is not consistent. Also, the new product made in Thailand is 75mL vs 80mL. Most importantly, my cat doesn't drink French-made Hydra Care as much. The smell is also a bit different. I prefer the one made in Thailand. See photos to understand the difference. This product is a life-saver for my cat who has recently had urinary obstruction and IBD. Hydration allows me to offer him dry food when he refuses all wet during IBD flare without impacting his urinary tract system. It's expensive, but worth every penny due to its effectiveness - my cat refuses to drink plain water. The issue is that you can't control which product they ship you. I got a package from Petco with French product, bought a case at the local pet store - French. Amazon shipped the product made in Thailand, and I could not be happier.

Recommend by my vet for my 15 year old kitty who has kidney issues. Shes an extremely picky eater and absolutely loves these! They are liver flavored. Definitely helps with her hydration.
