These could well be my acoustic strings for life
If you play finger-style or are moving from a classical guitar that has lighter, looser strings, these (extra light) strings are fabulous. Firstly, all the fret noise of standard acoustic strings is substantially reduced such that you can slide notes and hear the note changing, rather than the slide sound. Secondly, you can bend the strings like you can nylons (or electric guitar strings for that matter), and thirdly, the thinner neck width of an acoustic guitar takes a great deal of getting used to for classical guitar players, but these thin strings provide just enough extra room to avoid most of the fret buzz you get from accidentally touching against an adjacent string as you learn to be more precise (especially for finger-style), and lastly, to me these strings feel almost as comfortable and natural as classical strings; barre chords are just as easy, and they pick, pluck and strum in a more 'organic' way that finally makes acoustic guitar playing a joy for me.

Pleasantly supprised
Well, what can I say, after years of using Elixir only I decided to give these a try because I once had an old bass guitar with tapewound strings so thought it would be nice on my accoustic guitar. Then it was just WOW! I have to say, I'm really happy with these strings, they are amazing. For me the sting noise is very reduced and I just love the tone of these strings on my guitar. They are really nice to sing along with, look good and feel good to the touch. For years I've always felt the Low E was dull on my guitar, these strings have made that issue disapear and it's really good now. I will not look back.

The best
Fabulous strings. I spent three years trying others in an attempt to find a better choice. Failed. Have returned to my first loves...

Excellent strings
Really excellent strings. Good tone, keep in tune well and are buzz free when sliding to a note. They would be 5 stars for me but I feel that they went a bit dull earlier than than I would have expected.

Tremendous tone
I bought these for my Northworthy Carsington, a medium body acoustic. It is a beautiful sounding guitar anyway and I have always used D'Addarios 'standard' strings but I thought I'd give these a go....WOW!! The singing tone is just perfect, a lovely bright sound particularly suited for finger picking. For my guitar they are a perfect match give them a go they might be perfect for you too.

I wanted to try flat wound strings just to see if I got a dramatic difference compared to my normal sound. These are sweet and mellow however I don’t like the tone of the G, it’s a bit metallic compared to the rest of the set. I use another brand of flat wound strings on my hollow body electric and absolutely loved the sound. These are slightly below my expectations. It’s not exactly disappointing just not different enough. Well that my opinion only. They are smooth and less squeaky than round wound strings and easier on the fingers.

Ehrlich empfehlenswert!
