It strikes me that the weak point is the chain between the two cuffs. How well will this chain stand attack from a bolt-cutter?

I think someone is going to look elsewhere if they see this on a bike. It's the same as having a burglar alarm on your house, someone is going to look for an easier target then bother to trigger an alarm. If they are standing over a bike with bolt cutters for ages they would rather find another lock which is easier to snap.

Is there a belt pouch or frame case for these? Would handcuff case work or are they much bigger?

I bought these a few years ago and there was no case provided. A handcuff case is unlikely to work due to the width.
