Pentair IntelliFlo3 Variable Speed and Flow Pump 011075

The LCD screen on my decade-old IntelliFlo pump failed a few months ago so I was running it blind. Sometimes it wouldn't start up, sometimes it would quit unexpectedly. I finally bit the bullet and bought this replacement. The electronics are so sophisticated I've set my IntelliCenter panel to leave the pump circuit on 24/7 and I control the IntelliFlo directly through the Pentair app. I run it at 30 GPH all day long and get a nice spill from my raised spa– using only about 465 watts. The new pump is physically larger than the original, but the connection points are in the same place so the replacement plumbing is simple.

Took some getting used to & doesn't communicate with existing control box. Hate the on-line app requirement cuz my wireless doesn't extend to pool equipment area. Otherwise, I LOVE this new pump! Heats up spa via natural gas heater in one-quarter of previous time.

Would give it zero stars if I could. It was installed 5 months ago and we have already had two instances where it shut down and needed repair. Trying to get ahold of Pentair for a warranty order is an utter nightmare. Hold times are often 2 hours or more. At some point during the process they offer to call you back, but then it took two days before they called back. They finally set up for the service to be done, but I got a call from that company that we were outside their service territory, so had to get back to Pentair (another nightmare) to get it send to a pool company in our area.

I replaced my Pentair Variable Speed Pump that lasted Sixteen Years with this pump. I had it professionally installed because of plumbing rerouting needing to be done and you get an extended warranty from Pentair for professional installation. It works great and is easy to use since you use the Pentair App to adjust speeds and programs. Highly recommend!

No on and off switch, if the internet goes out you are pump-less. Also louder than may 10 year old FX which was surprising...

pump is very easy to wire. its seems intimidating but it is not. very smooth and quiet.

My last pump used 2200 W/Hr. This pump runs at a few different speeds for five hours more than the old one and never even uses the total power that my old pump used in six hours. Not only does this pump save money, it keeps the pool cleaner than the old pump. It's worth the money and it will pay for itself in no time.
