Review: Good stuff. - Pricer than some other foods, but certainly worth the quality. I switched my pigs to nuggets a just over a year ago and have not only found less food waste - as they don't pick and choose like with mixed grains - but they seem healthier overall. Dust content isn't too high. It smells lovely - like a earthy porridge - and judging by how fussy my boys usually are - it tastes pretty good too. At the current price of just over £10 for a 3kg bag, it's a fairly good deal. Certainly will be keeping my guinea pigs on this for the foreseeable future.

They get fresh hay daily as my sows in particular go through it incredibly quick, and they get a good portion of veggies a few times throughout the week, rather than daily because I have found that this helps keep their vitamin C levels under control (therefore no chalky wee!) and this diet also means I have never had a sick piggy, or a guinea pig with an upset tummy. My sows have been on science selective from before I even owned them - but my two boars came to me on a different food. Their previous food looked great - a bit like muesli, but the problem is, they'd pick out their favourite bits (not necessarily the healthiest) and leave the rest. Science selective gives them no choice but to eat what they are given - so there's no wastage, especially as all seven of my guinea pigs are brilliant eaters. One of my boars was very fussy when I first got them and had started to slowly switch them over to science selective - now he eats perfectly. I love this food for my guinea pigs and will always use this for them now. I highly recommend it, it may take them a week or two to get into it if they're switching from something else but try it out. I'm in a few guinea pig forums and it's a favourite amongst piggy owners. I buy the 10kg because it's a big sack full, lasts my seven guinea pigs a long time & works out considerably cheaper in the long run if you have somewhere to store it.

**Q: What's calcium % in these pellets? Is it lower than Cavvy Cuisine ones?**
A: Im not sure about Cavvy Cuisine have never bought it? But this one has 0.6% calcium, my guineas love this feed.

**Q: Are these timothy hay based?**
A: I'm nit sure but my guinea pigs love them, its a good price and they last a while.

**Q: Does anyone know whether this is low calcium? I see main ingredient is alfalfa-high calcium hay. My g pigs have blood in wee due to high calcium.**

**Q: What’s the protein % in these?**
A: Not sure but after feeding my two guinea pigs this food for a WK they both suddenly died same day as each other. And was both completely healthy till I have them this food. They was only 7 mths old

I own seven guinea pigs, in two separate (large) runs indoors. I leave 2-3 bowls of this down and refill it each day as needed.
