## Overview

The TTS Maglite LED Upgrade is the brightest 3 Watt LED conversion available for 3 to 6 D Cell Maglites, featuring a 300 lumen Cree XP-G2 S4 LED. ## Description

The TTS-3WCR90 is currently the brightest 3 Watt upgrade available. The CREE XP-G2 S4 LED which is used is rated at up to 300 lumens at 3 watts. **Please note this will not fit the LED Maglites with LEDs already fitted (MagLED) that have the letters "DL" at the start of the serial no. on the barrel as that LED is fixed in place. It also fits the newer Maglites which have the xenon STAR II Xenon bi-pin bulb.

Review: Super bright, super efficient, transforms a Maglite - I have a 4-cell Maglite that is heavy and, compared to modern LED torches like the LED Lenser, it produces a dull amber beam, so was consigned to a shelf to gather dust. Then I saw this conversion, which if the reviews were accurate would give my much loved Maglite/Hammer/Nightstick a new purpose The new bulb is like night and day compared with the old bulb. Literally. Like comparing a new car HID headlight with an old carriage lamp. As a born skeptic I first changed the batteries and cleaned the lens and reflector for a fair comparison, the old bulb did its thing and glowed happily. Fitting the new bulb is easy; a direct and perfect fit replacement for the original Mag incandescent bulb. It just works. I changed the bulb and WOW, I could now signal low flying aircraft if I so wished. It shines better, it glows much much brighter and whiter, the beam pattern and focus is clearly defined, and it shows the new generation of torches that it’s still the Daddy. Review: Maglite torch replacement LED bulb upgrade. - I didn't know these Maglite Cree LED replacement bulbs were available until I looked at the desertcart site. They make such a big difference to the brightness of the any torch fitted with the older pre LED bulbs (Maglite torches are very well made quality items new models all have LED bulbs). I upgraded a 2xD battery torch and a 4xD battery torch and found changing the bulbs to be very easy and hade no problems (I removed the torch batteries for safety reasons). I used the opportunity whilst doing the bulb upgrades to apply a little silicon O-rings grease to the torch body screw threads and checked the condition of the batteries. The seller did a good job, the bulbs arrived in good condition and were delivered on time by Royal Mail.

**Q: It says the tts10 is brighter - true or false and if true where do you buy a tts10**
A: Yes this is HUGELY Brighter Bulb. But not only Brighter but is a cleaner, more focused white light & gives a very penetrating or wide spread beam. I have also found that my Batteries last forever. I replaced all my 3 different 2, 3 & 4 C & D Cell Maglights with these Bulbs & will NEVER buy another Cheap Halogen or other alternative. Can't help you with where to buy but when you do...DON'T DELAY...JUST BUY...!!!

**Q: Does this fit a maglite led xl50 torch?**
A: Not sure about that particular model but it was a straight forward replacement for the standard bulb in my 3 cell maglight. The bulb that came out of it was like the old bike lights bulbs we had before led super bright beams!

**Q: The cree site says max 5w. that's a lot of heat in a tiny area. how long can you run this for?**
A: Although the bulb may consume 3w or 5w it has a higher efficiency than normal incandescent bulbs so generates less heat and more light. Have bought a number of these bulbs and fitted them to 3 cell and 6 cell maglites. Light is much brighter . No problems.

**Q: Your own website says the tts-xhp35mm is brighter, do you sell that on amazon?**
A: These items increase the quality of the brightness of the torch enormously and I have adapted all my mag lites accordingly. They are particularly effective as the battery level lowers giving a very strong light. I have purchased all my adaptions from Amazon

I didn't know these Maglite Cree LED replacement bulbs were available until I looked at the Amazon site. They make such a big difference to the brightness of the any torch fitted with the older pre LED bulbs (Maglite torches are very well made quality items new models all have LED bulbs). I upgraded a 2xD battery torch and a 4xD battery torch and found changing the bulbs to be very easy and hade no problems (I removed the torch batteries for safety reasons). I used the opportunity whilst doing the bulb upgrades to apply a little silicon O-rings grease to the torch body screw threads and checked the condition of the batteries. The seller did a good job, the bulbs arrived in good condition and were delivered on time by Royal Mail.
