Installed these on an SE Custom 24 and it now sounds great. However, a tip for anyone else replacing stock SE pickups is that PRS doesn't provide colour codes for wiring on their SE models on their website, and it is different to the more expensive PRS line: so take it one wire at a time and one pickup at a time, making sure you note the connections and you'll get there eventually. P.S. You don't get a lot of wire with these Tonerider pickups but they are value when compared to the bigger, and a lot more expensive names out there.

I have these in a paulwonia strat body 9-42 EB's and they sound about the same as my stock new Gibson MIdtown with Burstbuckers 1 and 2 ,10-46 gibson strings .Maybe a tad sweeter especially on the bridge.I ran it all through a Yamaha THR 10C with a decent volume and on the top "mini" setting and all the knobs except the effects turned to top centre ,cleans on other amp modes were j sweeter and just a tad quieter volume wise than the Bursties ,The Gibson also had pickup covers and 10-46 stock strings .Dunno if this will help anyone but if had to choose probably the Tonerider though its not worth putting them in brand my new Gibson.As aside the stock Toneriders in my 60th anniversary Classic Vibe strat sound great .I think they are the Surfari equivalent but nail that early strat tone perfectly .

I'm not usually impressed enough to leave feedback off my own back on products that I have bought, however I was so impressed with these pickups that I felt I just had to. Really nicely packaged, looked a quality product when taking them out of the box and good, clear fitting instructions. I put them into my Epiphone Gothic Les Paul Studio, and what a difference they made to the overall sound, it gave my guitar a new lease of life. Nice, bassy lows, crisp, clear highs and prominent mid range sounds make these an excellent choice as a replacement set of pickups. The only negative that I can draw from these are the supplied springs didn't work with my mounting rings, however this is no hardship as I just used the springs that were already on my guitar. All in all a great product and I would definitely buy them again.

I bought them to install in Epiphone Dot... and I immediately began to like their sound. They produce very nice cleans, especially from neck position, but bridge one is very good, too. They also give nice sound with overdrive, with both high-gain and low-gain amps. Even with high gain, the pickups are articulation sensitive. I believe they are a very good replica of P.A.F. humbuckers. I recommend them for jazz, classic blues and even Gary Moore-like solos. These are not my first Tonerides (formerly I bought TRH2 Generators), and certainly not the las ones.

Before buying these pickups, I originally intended to get a set of seymour duncans. I watched endless YouTube videos and read user reviews enough to take the plunge. Installed on Gibson Les Paul standard, I must say that they sound noticeably better than the standard pickups. At about a third of the price of the comparable SDs, the sound is easily equal in quality, if slightly different. Buy these in confidence that you'll love the sound. It's only a matter of time before Tonerider start increasing prices to better position themselves amongst the competition so get them while they are still cheap. The quality really is equal to the likes of Dimarzio and Seymour Duncan!!

I like the sound, arwsome. There are good for Blues, ACDC installed in a Harley Benton DC kit + push pull poti. Mod and Katana 50watt mk2 . Good price for set :). Thx Update ; in a Vintage VS6 installed is it even better 😁

Compradas para sustituir a un juego de Gibson 490 en una Les Paul Tribute Gold Top 2018. El juego de 490, para mi gusto, es demasiado "agresivo". Para rock perfectas pero para sonidos más "clean", a mi gusto, no acababan de gustarme. Después de la busqueda "obligada" de pastillas tipo PAF con menos salida me planteé coger algún set "famoso" nuevo o de segunda mano. De todas formas tampoco quería gastar más en el collar que en el perro :) :). Así que llegué a esta combinación de Tonerider. Muchas opiniones positivas, muy buen sonido en los videos y un gran precio. Decidí cogerlas, las instalé en mi LP (sin push pull) y... WOWWWWWW. En limpio, un tono claro y brillante perfecto para rítmo en canciones pop o que no requieran de overdrive/distorsión. Con overdrive, desde sonido blusero hasta rock tipo AC/DC o Slash sin problemas (de hecho, al ser alnico II, suenan muy Slash). De hecho, los compañeros de grupo notaron la diferencia (positiva) al primer ensayo jeje En fin, ENCANTADO con la compra. He conseguido el sonido que quería (PAF clásico) a precio espectacular

si beh non ero completamente convinto che mi sarebbero piaciuti e che fossero all'altezza, anche se ne parlano bene di questa casa, non ne avevo mai avuto prove dirette... devo dire che provandoli bene mi sono piaciuto molto, suono molto dinamico bello come ti aspetti da un humbucker ma non troppo chiuso ne troppo aperto che diventa fastidioso... probabilmente merito anche dell'alnicoII. in ogni caso la potenza di questi pu è ideale... ci fai un pò di tutto... non li ho provati splittati perché reputo quasi inutile, sarebbe troppo fiacchi ma potrebbero piacere, non è detto. insomma li consiglio a tutti quelli che hanno bisogno di un humbucker bello versatile, e soprattutto ad un costo cosi basso, di solito devi spendere il doppio per un pickup come questo, tipo il gibson burstbucker o classic 57

Ich bezweifle, daß man einen großen Unterschied hört.... Falsch, man hört ihn definitiv, denn die Tonerider sind durch die Scatterwound-Technik (Luftschlingen, eigentlich ein Fehler beim Wickeln. der hier aber gewollt ist) etwas offener im Klang, was ich gegenüber dem großen Original sogar bevorzuge. Die Tonabnehmer sind dadurch sehr präzise in der Abbildung und infolge der AlNiCo-2-Magneten äußerst sensitiv für Anschlagsdynamik. AlNiCo-2 gilt ja ohnehin als der "musikalischere Magnet", wenn man die üblichen AlNiCo-5 oder gar Keramikmagneten zum Vergleich her zieht. Leider gab es diese Pickups hier nicht mit goldener Kappe, aber inzwischen bin ich fast froh darum, weil die offenen Spulen für den kleinen Kick mehr an Treble und Hochmitten sorgen, der mir so gut gefällt. Sieht man mal von dem vieradrigen Kabel ab, das den Toneridern in meinen Augen eh schon zum Vorteil gereicht, so kann ich ruhigen Gewissens sagen, daß wenn ich die Teile im direkten Vergleich sofort nehmen würde... und ich habe einige Paulas im Original und auf Youtube verglichen ! Ich entwickle mich inzwischen ohnehin zum Tonerider-Fan, da ich von dieser Firma nun schon mehrere Humbuckertypen, vor allem aber Strat-Tonabnehmer im Besitz habe, die durch die Bank Hölle klingen.... und das bei DEN Preisen ! Rock on !

Tienen una presentación impecable, en caja individual, tornillos y diagrama de instalación. Perfecto acabado que acaba con mis reticencias a determinadas cosas Made in China. Tienen una salida media-alta, con la dulzura y potencia del sonido clásico de las legendarias PAF, que tanto en el canal limpio como con distorsión suenan maravillosamente. Las he comparado con las Burstbuckers I y II (también de Alnico II) de mi Gibson USA y no desmerecen en absoluto. Perfectas, recomendables y asequibles.
