I got this lamp for my son's bedroom and it is really lovely. You turn the lamp on by touching the metal base (anywhere on top/side), you can then brighten or dim the lamp by simply touching the base disc on side or bottom. The lamp has 3 brightening / dimming settings. Perfect for a bedside table and reading in bed. I would highly recommend this lamp. It is a beautiful sleek design with dark chrome and a long black shade. Great value for money and easy to operate - convenient at night - whereby you don't have to look for a switch. I am very pleased with this purchase and my son loves his new lamp.

This lamp is good, not the best though. In case you're sceptical about what bulb to buy alongside it, I bought this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B010UQKP1C/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_49. It works just fine. Cons: While I can touch the lamp to cycle through the 4 dimming options they simply do not work for me, the lamp just stays in the same brightness throughout the options; I don't know if it's because of the bulb I bought or if it actually just does not work in the lamp itself. Also there is a very low buzzing sound that is emitted from the lamp. I found that when I touch the lamp two times (the 2nd dimming option) the buzzing noise becomes a bit quieter but it is still there none the less. If there is noise around you, you most definitely will not hear it, but if it's at night and you're reading a book or something with the lamp on, I can imagine it would be annoying. Overall this lamp is very good, I personally don't care too much about the dimming options not working but the buzzing can be annoying only when your surroundings is silent. Other than that, it's a decent lamp

So happy with this lamp, has 3 brightness settings. Great value for money. Looks great on my bedside table.

What you see is what you get. Quite literally, do you see a bulb? No? That’s because you don’t get one with this lamp. You’ll go to B&Q and buy a bulb that fits, just to realise you need a HALOGEN DIMMABLE bulb and the only ones in town are LED. Do not acknowledge the “customers also brought” section. The bulbs are not compatible and are overpriced. The lamp is classy itself, a nice chrome black finish on the base. Simple and modern, the matt black lamp shade is also a nice touch. It’s a good size, not too big nor too small. Mechanically, there are no faults - no ringing noise or flickering as I’ve experienced with other lamps. I’d recommend, I’m just a little gutted about the lack of bulb being supplied - it’s like selling a phone without a battery, pointless.

This is the second MiniSun lamp I've bought and that in itself speaks volumes. What has impressed me about both of the lamps is that they've been carefully packaged when they've arrived and there have been no indentations in the shades. This lamp, with the black shade, was just what I was looking for and I'm delighted with the design and the ease of use. I'd have no hesitation in recommending this lamp to any prospective purchaser.

A good product with different settings. My only criticism would be that it's a little flimsy not "man proof" and easy to knock over, but an adaquate little lamp.

All good, the lamp has three brightness levels and we have not run into any problems after daily use for over a month. I reckon getting energy inefficient bulbs will get tougher over time so I guess that's one thing to watch out for.
