Ground flaxseed is a real superfood. I strongly recommend it. It helps lower cholesterol and blood pressure as well as improving your digestion. I have been taking a desert spoonful with my porridge or cereal every morning for a year now and feel great.

Good product but there is no consistency in the grind. Check the photo for my last two packs - the top is my previous shipment and the grind is coarse, the bottom is my latest shipment and the grind is fine (but not quite to the level of flour, thank goodness!). I use linseed in my breakfast and don't use it for cooking, so really, I'm looking for somewhere in between these two. Looking at other reviews, I see some people demanding the grind needs to be this or that. Assuming the seller grinds their own linseed, rather than be swayed by the last bad review, it would be best to offer different grinds - perhaps a coarse grind (just to the point where there are no visible whole flattened linseeds) and a fine grind would be fine. I'll see how it goes with this finer grind but not sure we'll be continuing our subscription due to this lack of consistency.

I've been buying this brand on subscription for just over a year, 2kg every two months. To begin with this was coursely ground brown linseed, perfect for what I wanted it for (dogs and myself daily digestive aid), then it started turning up ground to a fine flour, then suddenly it was arriving course again but golden in colour and it appears to be mostly husks. Golden is supposed to have more flavour, this doesn't have any flavour. Is it even linseed? I think I'm going to try grinding my own.
