Great piece of kit!
I bought this battery powerhead & also the brush-cutter attachment to use for the management at a local nature reserve. I used it extensively during the autumn & winter to cut dense vegetation, including rank grasses, brambles, thistles, etc. It dealt with everything brilliantly & the 6.0Ah battery gave about 1 hour operation. I found this adequate because I also had to clear up the cut brash afterwards!I would advise using the brush-cutter with a proper harness as the one supplied is very basic. Also use a mesh visor to protect your face!

Oregon pole saw extension
Great Oregon product quality. A good addition to my Oregon pole cutter.

A poor replacement for a previous triumph
I have this powerhead and the PS600 pole saw attachment, (for some reason Amazon tags the review to the powerhead not the saw), which I bought to replace my excellent, albeit flawed PS250 pole saw. The two could not be more different. The whole thing is heavy, and poor design means that the saw extension isn't held in place by the undersized pop up button, and clamp, and you are permanently unclamping it, twisting the saw back in line, and reclamping. I dont suppose the cheap feeling plastic clamp handle will last long. It feels like there's some kind of fly wheel arrangememt in the tool, which makes for a ponderous start, and a very juddery running of the chain. I'm not sure if it's related, but when trying to use the top side of the chain, the whole thing bounces and judders and you need to be very firm to keep it in contact with the wood. Although it comes with a handy tool attached to the chain cover, and I keep the chain tight, it still keeps jumping off the bar. The plastic cover is easy to remove to replace the chain, but it has a tiny plastic guide pin that I can see will get broken very soon. And with the overrun from whatever flywheel thing is going on, I expect the chain or spocket will get damaged soon too. There are still a few places in mid west America where I can get parts for my PS250, (Yes, it's flawed; I keep breaking it because it's so versatile), so I'll seek out a replacement shaft, and keep using that. Perhaps the hedge trimmer attachment will be more useful.

Failed/ replaced & failed again!
The trimmer ran for 30 seconds then made a noise but blades didn't move. Amazon replaced within a couple of days and then the replacement failed as well. Took to a local dealer who confirmed linkage had snapped and advised to send back.
