It came in a brown cardboard box, not the original xbox packaging....

Is the controller wireless ?

It is, but it doesn't come with a battery pack...

Is the controller meant to come with a battery pack? Mine has not, so I have to use a charger cable at all times.

Ours didn't come with a battery we bought a battery and charger cradle from argos.
