Love the colour of the book and the pages are nice and smooth and don’t bleed ink through. It’s a good size and the hard back makes it so that it doesn’t get all bent and creased (which is very helpful when you have kittens wanting to tear it apart!).

This A5 notebook is fantastic! The premium paper feels smooth and high-quality, perfect for writing or sketching without any bleed-through. Compact enough to carry around, but still roomy enough for notes, ideas, or journaling. The binding is sturdy, and it lays flat nicely when open. Definitely a pleasure to write in and a notebook I’ll keep reaching for.

Surprisingly decent quality, i used it for lab notes, it is quite small but gets the job done, the paper is quite thick, ink wont leak through, happy travels guys.

I recently started seeing a therapist for general anxiety disorder, and on our first session, she recommended that I start journaling. I came straight to Amazon. I wanted something professional-ish that I could feel special and legit writing in. I settled on this one based on several things: 1) the great reviews, 2) the lay-flat style, 3) thicker lined paper, 4) perfect size. I have not been disappointed. It's actually a very lovely notebook. I'd even consider giving journal this as a gift, as it is very well made and great quality. It does in fact lay flat, regardless of if you're writing on the first page or last. I've only used a ball-point pen on it, so I can't say if my gel pens or felt tip pens would bleed through or not. I also really like the little elastic band closure it comes with, as well as the tassel to keep my page where I leave off. I would definitely recommend this notebook/journal. While it costs slightly more than many other options, I personally feel like it was well worth it.

I have an extremely particular taste when it comes to journals, and this one fit all of my criteria. - It lays flat when you write in it (with the exception of the front of the first page) - the lines are dashed so they aren't too harsh and prominent - the pages are thick and my ink pen doesn't bleed through - the sleek minimalistic look with NO LOGO (thank goodness) - the band closure is tight - THE LOW PRICE It is perfect for my daily self reflections and tiny enough to fit in my coat pocket to take on my student rotations!

This is a high quality journal, with solid materials, durable cover. Comparable to the ones I’ve used from Moleskin brand. The writing lines are spaced apart just right (not too wide or too narrow) for writing. Paper is think and the writing experience using a pen on the pages is very smooth. It also lays flat when open. The folder pocket on the back cover adds a nice touch for storing small receipts or notes. Elastic band to hold the journal closed on outside is great, especially storing it in backpack with other objects. Highly recommend and will buy again!

I use 5x8 notebooks for lots of things. Daily journaling at home and at work, cider and wine recipes, and logs of all sorts. I have a short list of features that I consider requirements for a good 5x8 notebook: * A hard cover * A ribbon to mark my place * An elastic band to hold my pen and keep the notebook closed This notebook has all of these features, plus more, such as: * lays flat when open * Thicker than usual paper that is suitable for use with a fountain pen * A sewn binding * A pocket in the back of the notebook * Lines that are dark enough to see and provide a guide for writing, but not so dark as to prevent sketching or doodling. All of this for about ten bucks. As the other, more well known notebooks (you know who they are), cheapen their products and add gimmicks instead of value to their product; this notebook stands out as a solid choice and is a value at twice the price.
