The material D30 is soft and pliable, but stiffens immediately on impact. Level 2 D30 is probably the best armour protection available to motorcyclists today.Great product - light, soft, comfortable, vented and under £30 (Level 2 back protector, large), a good price. :)

I like the fact that it, sits nicely in my pre hip cut outs in the triumph jeans I bought for the summer, The D30 hip armour feels protective if I was to fall, and let’s face it it’s one of the likely areas of you hit on the ground going round bends as I’ve had the experience of doing once.

For those who don’t know D3O is viscoelastic armour, meaning it is soft and pliable when worn but when imacted at high speed it becomes rigid. I have a full set of the level 2 armour and although bulkier than the level 1 it is still quite comfortable and fits my furigan jacket and bullit jeans perfectly.

Looks good to me; fit well in my trousers and are comfortable. Haven't given them 5* review only because I haven't tested them out in anger yet, so can't vouch for their protection qualities - let's hope i never have to.

This back protector is very light & comfortable, after 5 minutes of riding I forgot it was there..So I'd say it's great..and safe..

i emailed D30 and they said that this company is known to them. But, made in china! i was hoping it was made in the UK. there is no proper quality control of this product since you can see the mold residue inside the holes. i could not verify how impact resistant it is. i immediately emailed D30UK because i was in doubt.
