Background to ordering this: I ordered this having become aware of the majority of 'cruelty free' or 'not tested on animals' products that actually aren't what they seem...for years I've been buying Dior and MAC, blissfully unaware they abandoned their 'no animal testing' policy back in 2012 when China introduced new laws requiring all foreign made beauty products sold in China to be tested on animals...anyway, I digress...I was still using my (clumpy +12 month old Dior Diorshow mascara) that I was determined to use up until at least 4 bouts of conjunctivitis before vowing to never buy it again...I'd been looking into alternatives when I came across this product. Having read the reviews I thought I'd part with my pennies, but remained sceptical, convinced I would never find a cruelty-free replacement mascara that would cut the mustard, so I'm glad I was wrong. The product: goes on really nicely, providing a carbon black root to tip coverage that lengthens and opens up the eyes with just one coat. It really does what it says on the tin; it gives the effect of definition and length and a natural open-eyed look. With 2-3 coats it doesn't clump and just provides a look more suited to heavy eye makeup or an evening look. I basically gave this a 3 day trial before writing this review as I wanted it to be helpful. I wore 1 coat alone and did my usual gym routine, before I got rained on and then did some heavy DIY at home...no panda eyes, no smudging, no crumbling, no black bits around my eyes from it drying out. I did the same again the following day and got really sweaty and really rained on, again, it had staying power and no panda eyes. Day 3 provided the same result, after a hard workout at the gym, more rain, slightly less heavy duty work in the home again no panda eyes. The product washes off easily and I was left with no residue and again, no panda eyes requiring an extra scrub or eye makeup remover. The applicator: is plastic and spiky, it reminds me of a gimmicky Dior one I bought a while back that (in my opinion) was basically the same product but with a different applicator. I think this applicator provides good coverage and as the mascara (at the moment) is quite wet and not gloopy at all it's perfect for the root to tip coverage and individual lash definition. As a vegan and a bit of a makeup fiend I think I've found the perfect, cruelty-free product. Thank you Gaya!

Can I just state that I never write reviews but as I have spent many years trying to find the perfect mascara and it has finally happened, I felt this amazing discovery needed to be shared! This mascara is perfect.. it is really jet black, it makes your lashes look really long and defined, no clumps and stays in place even after a day at work and then a tough work out at the gym, no smudging or smears! I love the fact that it is vegan and I also love the fact that it looks really expensive (a bit vain I know!) I just wish I had found this years ago and this mascara deserves a 10 star rating and not 5 stars!! Please buy you will not be disappointed!! This is an independent review.

No irritation, goes on great and lengthens my fine small lashes but if I had one quibble it’s a little too dry. I struggle with a second coat. It’s tricky though - with mascara’s if they’re too wet and it’s too thin, too dry and there’s not enough coverage. I am pleased with it overall and the price is very good. Also - it stays on very well - too well. In fact I’ll save it for going out now because for every day use it’s too much effort to remove with a basic face cleanser. Hot days and long nights are ideal! For the price it’s worth a try. Better than high street brands.

I love this product!! Very good mascara. It can dry up quickly though so it's worth getting if mascara is a vital daily part of your routine. The down side? I am unable to contact the seller direct via amazon. I didn't want to feed this back publicly but I have no choice. The last 2 tubes I have bought have been faulty, the wand was very loose on one and broke off after the 2nd application. The last tube I purchased appeared to have been sealed. I feel I've been sold and old tester tube that was resealed. Tube is dry and its taking me forever to apply. I may have to cancel the subscription and source another mascara as paying over £10 a tube, I expect a top quality product and one that hasn't actually been used previously!!!! Very very disappointed gaya!!

My favourite vegan mascara. Goes on well and is dark enough to not needs loads of layers. Very good in terms of being waterproof and smudgeproof, and removes easily. Good quality.

I think they have changed the formular - sadly. Twice purchased and it was good but the last one has set my eyes off - sore and red. Would recommend anyone with eye intolerances avoids this brand now

I read the reviews before buying and here's mine. I have very dry sensitive eyes. I also suffer from "panda eyes" when I've had mascara on for a few hours so I wanted something that would stay put. Yesterday I applied the mascara around 6am before work. I finally got to take it off about 13 hours later. It had not moved, no "panda eyes". The product is against animal cruelty which is also a must for me. Due to my eye issues, I use baby oil to remove eye makeup. No problems there either. My previous purchase was Blinc tubing, which is over twice the price so this mascara is good value for money. It also goes on much easier, with no clumping, than Blinc.

The BEST - honestly - mascara I have used in my life. I only found Gaya last year and their products are just beautiful and always come up to my expectations. They are fantastic - in their ingredients, ethics and the performance of their products. And this mascara is fab - no clumping or flaking, no silly little fibres or weird chemical smells like others - just silky smooth and gives you beautiful long lashes, naturally. No curlers needed - just coat you lashes and steer them in the direction you want them to set and ta-da! Lovely big lashes and open looking eyes. I have major allergies and wear contacts, so a mascara that works for me has always been a Holy Grail - even 'sensitive' ones make my eyes red, itch or water after a couple of hours but not this one. Love it! Go on and give it a go, hopefully you'll love it too!

I'm 59, so I've been wearing mascara for a long time! I switched to "clean" (non-toxic) beauty products about 30 years ago, before it was trendy. In all that time, and after trying dozens of mascaras, till now I've never been able to find a clean mascara that is non-irritating, non-smudging, non-clumping, and also noticeably lenthens and thickens my lashes. This is IT. It really lives up to the claim of being able to create a natural or more dramatic look, depending on how many coats you apply. I love that it comes in brown. It also removes easily with just face wash and water. I hope they never stop making it!

C'est la première fois que je suis satisfaite d'un mascara vegan. La brosse est parfaite: elle sépare très bien les cils et permet une application aisée. Le produit ne coule pas et ne fait pas de paquets. Ce mascara est vraiment un super achat pour celles qui souhaitent allonger leurs cils mais pas pour donner du volume. En ce qui me concerne, il répond tout à fait à mes attentes. J'ai d'ailleurs renouveler mon achat.

Um etwas mehr Verantwortung für mein Konsumverhalten zu übernehmen, war ich auf der Suche nach einer Wimperntusche, die nicht an Tieren getestet wurde. Bis jetzt haben mich aber keine der bekannten Marken aus der Drogerie (Alverde, ...) überzeugen können, da erstens das Ergebnis einfach nie mit den Standardprodukten mithalten konnte und zweitens die Tusche nach ein paar Stunden bereits besonders unter den Augen extrem verschmierte. Ich hab mich also nach mehreren Fehlversuchen über diese zwar etwas teurere, aber wirklich gut bewertete Mascara drübergetraut und ich muss sagen: das war die richtige Entscheidung! Sie macht wirklich wunderschöne, präzise getrennte, lange, intensiv schwarze Wimpern; so ein Ergebnis bekam ich nicht mal mit meiner alten Lieblingswimperntusche von Maybelline hin und auch die machte spätestens am Abend diese Pandabäraugen. Die Mascara von Gaya hält den ganzen Tag, verwischt kein Bisschen und ist mit das beste Kosmetikprodukt, dass ich bis jetzt gekauft habe. Werde sie daher sicher wieder bestellen, denn hier bekommt man ein wirklich gutes Produkt für sein Geld!! Zu dem Problem, das hier schon öfter geschildert wurde: um dem Verklumpen oder Austrocknen der Tusche vorzubeugen, pumpe ich nicht, säubere nach jeder Verwendung kurz den Fläschchenrand und schraube sie fest zu... ich hab sie jetzt seit 2 Monaten jeden Tag in Verwendung und die Konsistenz ist immer noch so wie am ersten Tag. Qualitativ hochwertig, vegan, Tierversuchs-frei - was will man mehr? Ich bin einfach begeistert; klare Kaufempfehlung!

Es una máscara bastante buena , suave , sin “bolitas”. Tengo SQM y ojos súper sensibles y me va muy bien , no irrita los ojos .Tarda algo en secarse y se necesita varias capas , pero sin duda la volveré a comprar
