Strong Handrail
My wife and I bought three of these to put up outside the front door and kitchen door to her very elderly parents house, both are in their late 80s. I installed them to the brickwork alongside each of the doors (Don't screw into the mortar as this will crumble over time). Although they are made of plastic, there are rubberised rings around the bar to aid anyone with their grip. To make it strong there is a thick aluminium tube that runs down the inside of the handrail giving it its strength. There are no fittings that come with the handrail, and I assume this is because the manufacturer has no idea where you are like to locate it, which in my view is fair enough. It comes with an instruction leaflet and recommendations on how to attach it to a wall. In our case, because they were going to be used externally and attached to brick walls I opted to use zinc plated wood screws and Rawlplugs (those are recommended in the leaflet). As you can see from the photos I used an 8mm masonry drill (as stated on the back of the Rawlplug packet) and 5x50mm (No.10x2") screws. You could use screws that will go straight into brickwork, but as I didn't have any experience using them I stuck with screws and plugs. Once each was attached to the wall, it's just a matter of putting the covers into place. I've seen that some other reviewers have had issues putting them on, but with a little gentle persuasion with a flat head screwdriver, the small clip can be eased into place and provide a nice flush finish. They're only made of plastic and the small tabs can be manipulated into place. Once completed I pulled as hard as I could to try to remove them but there was no movement from them at all, and being a big guy over 19 stone that says something. They will certainly hold up to anything my 87yo mother-in-law who weighs next to nothing, can throw at them. All in all a very good handrail and I would highly recommend getting one if you need to. Just put a little thought into how you need to attach it.

Better looking than the competition, very secure.
Good quality, classy looking. Ridged grips along the length. Looks far better than those white NHS-type handles, and gives confidence going up and down door steps. Easy to fit - once you have accurately marked the drilling points. It would be good if a template were provided to stick to the wall. The end caps can be a bit fiddly, but the trick is to slide it up, as flat to the handle as possible, wide end first. It will be a tight fit!! Once you have no or very little gap at the wide end (no more than 1 mm) a sharp strike at the pointy end will click it into place. The ball of your hand should suffice, alternatively a soft-faced hammer.

No fixings included.
Nice sturdy handle. Good size for gripping. Was easy to fit, but comes with no fixings, which would be far easier. Luckily the chap who fixed it for me had plenty of spare screws etc.

Sturdy and easy to install
This actually has a green ringe to it which earned me brownie points as it matches my parents front door. Really easy to install however would have liked a bit more of a gap between the wall and bar for those with bigger hands. Altogether good value for money

Easy to fit and use
Bought this to replace an existing Prima outdoor grab rail which has been in continuous use for a number of years and only replaced as it had faded from sunlight. The rail is easy to fit and a nonslip surface and is easy to hold on to.

Ignore them when they say it will identify her as old
I was afraid my mother in law would get her fingers trapped in the door jarm, she used it to get out. These handles negated that. Easy to fit and using the fixings supplied rock solid.
