Herpotherm Cold Sore Treatment Device - Reusable and Clinically Proven

Edit:I thought it only fair that I update my scaving review of this product. Initially I used it on developed sores, which had little to no effect and I found other treatments more effective. This can make my lips raw which feels like it does help spread already nasty sores. However. This works incredibly well for me on 'tingles'. Usually a tingle means a sore, regardless of what I try. Bit this Herpotherm has become my go to device, I try to keep it with me at all times. One or two blasts usually stops a sore from developing. If you suffer from cold sores, you'll know that the 'tingle' phase can feel different each time, for me when my lip stings but there is no blister developed yet I know I'm getting a monster sore that will really bother me. This device stops these stings/tingles almost immediately and almost without fail for me. I'm dreading the day this packs in, because there seems to be quality control issues with the newer devices and my device lasts a long time on battery. ------------------ This is a terrible device and a terrible idea. I bought this in preparation of the next attack. I get cold sores regularly and I find them incredibly painful. On a scale of one to 10 I rate coldsores at an 8. They have a big impact on my life. This morning I felt the itch and decided to try the 'Herpotherm' device that I bought a few months ago. I found it quite painful to use initially, but obviously didn't want to write it off after one use. Initially it did stave off the tingling feeling for a few minutes, but it came back again. Worried about using it again, I left it a few hours before using it again, by this point the blister hadn't quite appeared, but I could feel it coming, so had to do something. I used it again, it really hurt this time, my lip swelled up and the coldsore has flourished like it has never flourished. My lip is swollen, it actually looks burned, the surround area is very red and the blisters look yellowish and are so painful that I am concerned that they are infected. The cold sore has 'grown' quicker than normal and it feels much more painful than my usual cold sores. The thought of using it again is unbearable. I'm never putting this thing near my face again, and I wouldn't recommend anyone else does either. All it does is burns your lip and creates the perfect environment for a coldsore to flourish, it will make your lip very red and tender and a little swollen. I'm sure it's an idea that works in a lab on viruses in Petri dishes, but not a human face that is sensitive.

I have suffered lots with coldsores over the years and I have finally found a decent routine that helps. It does not completely eradicate the cold sore as I think that is something that is not possible as yet, but the followng will help other cold sore suffers. Firstly I take 1000MG of Lysine everyday, this has some scientific studies that are proven to reduce the rate of coldsores and the frequency (and in some cases severity). Whenever I have a tingle I immediately use HERPOtherm To use HERPOtherm, just turn the device on (there’s a red light to indicate when it’s turned on). Press the ceramic contact surface gently to your skin, and wait. The plate will warm up to around 51 degrees, for 3 seconds. The device will then turn off automatically. After turning the device on, a red light appears, and the ceramic contact surface will heat up to 51 degrees for three seconds, before automatically turning off. You can repeat this process up to five times in one hour, for maximum effect. REMEMBER KEEP DOING THIS EVEN IF YOU THINK THE COLD SORE HAS BEEN BEATEN - I once stopped and it started to develop again There haven’t been any large scale studies to prove whether this type of device is effective, but a small study conducted on 100 patients in 2013 found that heat therapy was just as effective as coldsore creams, and could also reduce healing time for coldsores by as much as 50%. (Wohlrab J, et al., Clinical, Cosmetic and Investigational Dermatology 2013, 6:263-271). As well as this my final routine is to use a home remedy of essential oils (Tea Tree, Peppermint, Thyme, Lemon Balm and Chamomile in a carrier oil) I apply this a couple of times a day. This routine as reduced outbreaks significantly (so long as I get plenty of rest) and when I do get a breakout they only last about 4 days before it's gone. The key method for me is the HERPOtherm, it seems to break down the cold sore and stops it developing and the essential oils help relieve sore and any swelling I may have.

I am very happy to report that this actually works. Whenever I feel the usual tingling sensation on my lips(usually on a day that my body feels weak, due to lack of sleep/hard gym training/feeling under the weather), I use it 2-3 consecutive times on the affected spot and then proceed using one of the "over the counter" creams(ie zovirax, which on its own usually cannot prevent it from appearing a few minutes later). I consistently get no cold sores at all this way. It cannot be just a coincidence and I doubt it's just the placebo effect. I've had the device for a few months now and I am pretty sure it prevented cold sores from appearing at least 5-6 times till now. The pain doesn't seem that bad to me and it only lasts 2-3sec anyway. I am very happy with the product. I won't give a 5-star rating just because of the manufacturing quality. It's not sturdy/robust at all for it's price(it's just a piece of plastic with a ceramic point and the circuit inside it is very simple/cheap to make). If it won't fail for the next 2-3 years, then money well spend. I spend a lot more on creams/balms/patches etc anyway.

I have suffered from cold sores since I was a young child. I have thus tried everything: creams, patches, homeopathic medicine and I even bought one of those virulite machines. This is BY FAR the best thing that works for me. Cuts healing time dramatically, especially if you catch it at the tingling phase. I actually recently lost mine and came here to buy another one. Very sad to see it is unavailable on the CanadIan and American Amazons. Even tried to order off the UK Amazon but they weren't able to ship here. Please come back to Canada!!

L'unico articolo che mi ha cambiato veramente la vita risolvendomi o alleviandomi anche solo il fastidio dell'herpes labialis che ho fin da piccola. Avevo provato con qualsiasi rimedio sia officinale, sia farmacologico, che casalingo ma niente, fino a quando non ho conosciuto questa magica penna. Si usa direttamente sulla zona che formicola, quando ancora non è uscita fuori la vescica e previene la sua formazione. Oppure se usato quando già la viscica è uscita lo si può usare per ridurre i tempi di durata e per accelerare la guarigione. Unica cosa da stare attenti è che usa un forte calore che inizialmente, non essendoci abituati, può dare fastidio,ma poi ci si abitua. Con pochi utilizzi, il calore mirato, ad una temperatura e durata calibrati si risolve o si argina il problema dell'herpes labialis in tempi record. Funziona a pile.

Cada persona es un mundo y no a todos nos funcionan las mismas cosas. En mi caso a día de hoy 01-03-2020 lo he usado varias veces, y si lo usas aplicándolo cada poco tiempo ( cada 10-15) minutos en el primer y segundo día de la aparición es super efectivo. El herpes se seca muchísimo más rápido que usando pomadas y es mucho más cómodo ya que no tienes el pegote de crema en la boca todo el rato. Si bien es cierto que aguantar el calor de cada aplicación puede resultar algo incómodo, yo prefiero pasar un poco de molestia y acabar con el herpes en menos tiempo. En algunos comentarios he leído que la pila dura poco, no es así, lo que pasa es que se desajusta del aparato y hay qye sacarla y volverla a meter. Espero que os ayude mi opinión. Yo lo volvería a comprar.

Über zwei Wochen lang litt ich unter einer starken, laut Hautarzt herpesbedingten Entzündung der Unterlippe. Rot, geschwollen, erbärmlich juckend, brennend, berührungsempfindlich ... die typischen Symptome. Seltsamerweise oder besser gesagt glücklicherweise bildeten sich jedoch keine Bläschen an der Hautoberfläche. Die feigen Virendinger wollten sich wohl nicht zeigen. Endlose Schmierereien mit den bekannten Herpes-Cremes Z.....x und A.......r linderten immer nur kurzzeitig den Juckreiz. Nach kurzer Zeit pellte sich von diesen offensichtlich leicht aggressiven Cremes auch noch die oberste Hautschicht ab. Gleichzeitig mit den Herpes-Cremes schmierte ich dann auch noch abwechselnd diverse Wund- und Heilsalben, Hydro-Cortison-Salben und die vom Hautarzt verschriebenen Salben auf die Lippe .... ich glaub ich hab so ganz nebenbei auf diese Weise die eine oder andere Tube gevespert und gut schmecken tun die alle nicht ;-) Genützt hat`s jedenfalls nichts. Da ich auch schon so einige Wundermittel wie besondere Pflanzenöle (die schmecken teilweise richtig gruselich) oder teure Tabletten gegen Herpes (seltsame Nebenwirkungen auf dem Beipackzettel gruseln auch etwas...) mit minderem Erfolg durchprobierte, dachte ich dass es auf die paar Euro auch nichtmehr ankommt und bestellte mir diesen "Wunderstift". Von Anfang an ordnete ich für mich diesen Stift mehr oder weniger in die Schublade "Du musst nur dran glauben" ... also leicht esoterisch angehaucht ein. Trotzdem, mit größter Skepsis hielt ich mir dieses Ding ein paar mal an meine dicke Lippe, an die juckendsten Stellen. Nun, ich denke, ich steh ja ansonsten immer mit beiden Beinen auf dem Boden und glaube nur das was ich sehe oder in diesem Falle spüre ... jedenfalls: ich dachte ich spinne. Das Jucken und Brennen hörte praktisch augenblicklich auf. Mit größtem Erstaunen behandelte ich dann nach und nach die gesamte befallene Hautregion und das Umfeld großzügig drumrum. Dies wiederholte ich noch zweimal in einem Abstand von ein zwei Stunden. Während der folgenden zwei Tage bemerkte ich noch vereinzelt die bekannten Stiche und den beginnenden Juckreiz, die beiden Anzeichen dafür, dass die Virenbiester schon wieder zum Angriff bliesen. Aber, ich war schneller, hab denen richtig eingeheizt. Erfolg: Nach drei Tagen ist eine deutliches Abschwellen der Lippe zu bemerken. Die Entzündung ist stark zurück gegangen. Das typische "Spannen", Jucken und Brennen fehlen jetzt ganz. Auch treten keine neuen Stiche ... "Vorboten" .... mehr auf. Eine "dicke Lippe" muss ich jetzt nicht mehr ertragen. Die ganzen Salben, Cremes und Öle kipp ich jetzt in den Müll .... sorry aber mir reicht`s damit. So, das dürft Ihr gerne als meine kleine persönliche Leidensgeschichte betrachten. Aber, ich denke ich kann diesen Stift aufgrund meiner persönlichen Erfahrungen absolut empfehlen. Die Keramikfläche an diesem Stift wird gefühlt ganz ordentlich heiß. Aber das muss so, soll ja die Virenbiester kochen. Taffe Mädels und Buben halten das aus. Aber eins sollte man damit nicht tun: seiner Partnerin bzw. seinem Partner das Stiftle mal heimlich an den verlängerten Rücken drücken ... das hat dann auch "durchschlagenden" Erfolg.
