Previously I cut a crude divider out of metal and it worked but the fit was rough and there was no extra cooling. Keep in mind that the gel pack will only contribute an ongoing chill if you can refreeze occasionally. If you can’t then the benefit will only be the divider and you could be better off with just a divider without the gel pack.
