You register the product with the delonghi but then when you have a problem, no one get back to you. this is not like the other delonghi machines. I would not recommend it. For what it matters I won't buy any delonghi product again **Q: Is the plastic part BPA free?** A: Yes. This is a bees knees of a espresso machine costing nearly 1,000 pounds. The Delonghi Dedica makes a variety of nice brews, but no where near the quality of my Lelit. What i have found if you invest in a decent quality tamper, and an half decent coffee grinder it makes a huge difference to the brew.
