It will analise the air in the shed then switch on and off equipment as required. My unit has an electronic on off switch so when it gets switched off it needed to manually be pressed to go on again - hence the Inkbird unit will no switch it on and off automatically. So I decided that i'll control the extractor fans instead. I've always played with these switching manually so an automatic switching an and off will be great. I set this all up and its really working well - tried all sorts of different settings and switches off and on really well. This unit will greatly help out when you have direct switching de-humidifiers and or extractor fans - well worth the price. Very impressed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved my fish shed from Amazonian rainforest levels of humidity *by M***L on 20 May 2021* I thought I'd wait a couple of months to write a review for this product as I wanted to properly test it. I rigged the Inkbird controller up to an extractor fan situated inside of my fish shed. I have 30 aquariums and high humidity levels were always a concern. I had tried adding air vents, then smaller dehumidifiers and fans, but nothing brought the humidity to acceptable levels. So I bought an extractor fan and had it plugged into a timer switch and set it to go on and off at 15-minute intervals. This worked well, but the temperature fluctuated too much (I heat the shed, not individual aquariums). I knew there must be a better way of doing this. I did a bit of research and the Inkbird controller kept popping up. I had to try it and it has been amazing. There was a wee bit of trial and error programming the device, but eventually, I got it to do what I wanted. It turns on at 70% humidity and turns off at 50% humidity. and my shed temperature stays around 27 degrees Celcius. I'm happy with this product and it has been a great investment.
