The feed itself will last for ages as long as it is stored properly. One of the feed manufacturers (Marriages) wrote on this subject: 'The shelf life of layers pellets with Flubenvet is 2 months. This is dictated by the product licence of the Flubenvet itself so we are unable to extend this. The ordinary layers pellets, both conventional and organic, have a shelf life of 4 months from manufacture date.' I don't use mine if they are more than six months out of date. The Flubenvet will not become toxic if stored properly (and neither will the feed) and although the maker won't guarantee the effectiveness of the Flubenvet, in my experience it retains its effectiveness against gape and the other worms prevalent round here (Cambridgeshire) for six months past the expiry date. **Q: CHICKEN ANTIBIOTICS** A: And the question??? You should only be giving antibiotics when prescribed by a vet. Ever heard of antibiotic resistance?
