Hello, We recommend that you do not leave your lava lamp on for more than 6 hours. This is so your bottle doesn't overheat which will reduce the life span of the bottle - replacement parts, including bottles can be bought on our website or Amazon shop if your bottle does reach the end of its life... which is normally 2000 hours or 10 years.

Are these really worth 5 times as much as the unbraded ones?

Very much so, the build quality is much better plus the bottles stay clear and good for years. Not to mention you can buy replacement bottles for a fraction of the price... In contrast, once the cheap ones go cloudy (fairly quickly in comparison!), you have to throw the whole thing away!
