Its about the practical use of Feng Shui and is easy to read and enjoyable. I love the idea of getting things right in the home for a good visual view and also for improving life generally. I notice that I do keep things for posterity and also love "bits" which can be a pain when it comes to dusting. The author of this book knows all about how we hold onto things for periods of time...for ever sometimes and never use them. She reminds us that we need to simplify our lives and also create space, light and air into our homes and into our own lives. I recommend it since she specifies each room of the house, and even deals with the outside space, like a garden, a shed or a garage. There are plenty of book available on the subject but some just touch the surface of Feng Shui. This is more detailed and gives you great tips on what to put in a certain geographical area or what not to put there. Also about keeping tidy and cleaning which is just common sense. Find out for yourself where your clutter is in the home and why it might be there. I began reading it and making small changes while I wait for delivery of certain items. This book is an easy read and makes applying the strategies achievable. You can begin making small changes to your environment and adding in what you already have to where it's needed. Other books are to technical and require adjustments that are unrealistic and unachievable. The book is written with honesty and humour. You can feel the subtle changes when you make them and makes for a much more harmonious environment to live in. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ a fantastic little book *by J***Y on 14 August 2012* The book is fun, easy to follow, and provides lots of alteratives to stuff you may, or may not have to make the necarssary changes. You do not have to go out and refurbish your home, you probably find you have all the required stuff in your home already. The author injects a sense of humour in each chapter, this is not to say she does not take her stuff seriously. However, she is clear about motivation, intention and rational in her approach to feng shui. This particular style is Black hat feng shui, i do not profess to know about the subject, however, i did find this book an easy read and fun to follow. It's early days to say if the changes have taken effect, but it made me realise the crap i was hoarding!! the book is worth reading from start to finish as you, the reader, will find that all areas relate to one another.
