It was sturdy enough, and I bought this one because of the wide straps so as not to cut into my shoulder. It worked fine initially but after a while, it became too heavy to carry the dog far in it. She is happy and safe around the high street where there are lots of people about and also happy and safe when we are nearing the end of a long walk when her younger brother is still tearing along but her little legs are tired, she can sit in the carrier and pop her head out to keep her eye on Simba (her brother) without too much effort.
