Flawless
"Frasier" is a comedy program about a radio-psychiatrist in Seattle, taken from the character of Frasier in "Cheers".A classic program with a great balance of features. It's a clever comedy, but not something you have to be "super-smart" to enjoy (despite what some people think). Some episodes have an element of farse that would rival Fawlty Towers, like "The Ski Lodge" or "Perspectives On Christmas". Others throw the characters into brilliant predicaments, like Frasier and and his brother Niles trying to maintain a new restaurant without a kitchen staff or accidentally getting their father high on pot. The characters are all convincing and funny and really go well together, even when they clash (i.e. the father-son relationship of Frasier/Niles and their dad). The dialogue is superbly clever and funny and is just full of great one-liners as well some really amusing speeches. All of this comes together in a beautiful style that is unique to "Frasier".The box set is also a good buy (at least when I got it at £85). The 11 series are arranged in 4 leafed cases within the box and the dvds are the same as in the individual series box sets (including the interviews and celebrity voices features of the early series). Each episode of each series is indexed on the back of these cases so you know where to find what you're looking for. Since the episodes tend to have clever, catchy titles it's often very easy to remember which episode a particular moment happened in.In short, if you've got the money, it's more than worth buying. Even if you watched it non-stop, it would still take days to go through it all, and it's the kind of program you can watch repeatedly (I have and will continue to do so). There's no program out there (comedy or otherwise) that I'd rank above "Frasier".

New Shrink-wrapped box..
The second best US TV show ever made. Only MASH surpasses it. Fantastic scripts, brilliant actors, and consistently well directed. The main cast has a range of characters so that almost anyone will identify with to some extent, which helps pull you in to the show. The laughs just keep on coming, whether silly sniggers, uproarious guffaws or total bellyaches. Each season or half season tends to have a story arc, with the whole show also having a fantastic level of progression for each of the characters.Personally, I’m a big fan of Frasiers brother Niles. David Hyde Pierce absolutely embodies the character with a set of quirky and nuanced personality traits and physical ticks. I also loved the original Eddie, played by a dog called Moose. Honestly, I’ve never seen an on screen animal character so fanatically characteristic. There are few weak points in the show, just the occasional episodes that some people may not enjoy as much, and this will vary from person to person, but they are few and far between. Given the length of the shows run, this is much better than most shows manage. As far as the technical aspects go, I can now safely give this a 5* rating as they have moved from the original box sets terrible cardboard sleeve implementation, to a conventional multi-disc plastic DVD case, same as the Cheers one. The original cardboard sleeve set left marks on the discs that meant sometimes there was a problem playing the disc. This new version means no issues, every disc played flawlessly. If you have never watched Frasier, or his original home in Cheers, then honestly, I do recommend you try it. I wouldnt recommend trying it on the Amazon Prime Video, the file quality is terrible, but you could try the first episode to see if you like the comedy. Then buy the box set, as once you’ve seen it, you’ll likely want to watch it again and again over the years.

Indulgence
I loved this show. My children loved this show. The physical comedy of David Hyde Pierce, the clever writing, what appeared to me to be flawless acting as so many verbal and nuanced non verbal exchanges seemed so natural, the weighty tones and self obsession of Dr Frasier Crane, the individual characters and cast, the comfort and familiarity of Cafe Nervosa, the lovely assistants they sometimes had there, the celebrity voices, Eddie, - the progression of Niles adoration of Daphne. So many classic well remembered episodes and moments, and many more not seen before make this purchase a most pleasing indulgence.I was robbed of the opportunity this past Christmas to view the first and last episodes on terrestial tv - I felt churlish to be so upset. It's only a tv programme after all. A friend pointed out that perhaps I need a good belly laugh first thing in the morning (and the company of undemanding friends) and as I no longer have regular access to a tv (in so many ways a blessing and good for my soul) this investment has royally paid off in just the first few episodes. And the extras and Set up... such joy. Thank you KG & Co.

Fantastic, intelligent, hugely-missed comedy - The best bar none for me!
Watch two every night sequentially before bed. More hits than misses as an entire set of series, but this whole entity needs no excuses. If you like Frasier and appreciate the humour and clever writing, then you will love the whole thing. Eleven series, tightly-scripted, which makes the main characters almost feel part of the family by the time you have spent with them. When Frasier himself is on form, over-reacting, bickering with Niles or Marty, or battling with some of the great other actors (Bebe or Lilleth especially), it is a delight. This was Grammer's finest hour and he'll never equal it, but who cares, it is eleven seasons of bliss. Niles (Hyde-Pearce) is also worthy of mention, as it is often his reactions to his brother's opinions and antics that help embody a perfect comic chemistry. Some mid-season jitters, the Niles/Daphne saga, perhaps don't do many favours - but these are made up for by some real belters.Love some of the cameos - a few brits end up appearing, and the consistent contagonists (not sure if that's a word, but I like it!) popping up (the wonderful Roz, Bulldog & Gill especially) really help add interest.Despite occasional elements drawn from farce, Frasier somehow avoids cliche through such clever writing and spirited acting from the main characters. Near the end, Frasier is asked outright by one of his lady friends "Do you know what it is like to play the same character for over twenty years?" - you can appreciate the intended irony and the challenge that has been met.As a box set, the packaging compromises some of the disks, as others have pointed out. However, good cleaning has sorted most of the jumps for me. I have other box sets which remain watched once, but this set, well, I'll probably start all over again. So chuffed to have this box set!

The box set is not as bad as people say
I ordered this before reading some of the reviews. Initially, I was worried that my box set would be plagued with the problems as mentioned here, but it's not. I am not sure if people are exaggerating or if I just got lucky, but the box set isn't as bad as some people have said.Granted, there are some damages with my box set - not major ones, but it's expected sometimes when you shop online and don't have the discretion to pick up the box set in the best condition. I am a person who's really picky with his box sets. I need them to be crease and dent free, but sadly there is a dent on mine on one of the corners. It's quite a nasty one, but oh well. There's a bad fold on my Season 6 box too.The other reviewers got it right that the box is not nicely designed in a functional sense. This is particularly true of the individual season cases. They don't have a plastic tray. There's a slip pocket and the discs are not held in well. They fall out pretty easily and the discs look like they are scratched, but I don't think they are. I just got it recently and have not tried all the discs but I looked at them and they aren't scratched. The ones I have tried all work properly too.The box, aesthetically, is beautiful in my opinion. Frasier, despite being critically acclaimed, has not gotten any good DVD treatment. It's not remotely close to the Seinfeld Complete Series box set, but then again, I don't think any show will get that ostentatious treatment! Frasier is infamous for skimping out on bonus features. They have a few for the first three seasons and then none until season 11. Seinfeld, on the other hand, is jam packed with bonus features - almost 200 hours worth I believe. This has always been my biggest gripe with the actual content of the DVDs. I can't blame anyone here except CBS video. I guess there's not enough demand for Frasier. And the lack of demand of Frasier this was precisely why I got this set. I am from Canada and we only sell the sets individually. Buying all 11 would be extremely expensive and would take up a lot of space. Not to mention, the sets don't really match each other at all. It would be like getting 11 thick books. This one at least is one holistic entity. It's simply designed with the signature Seattle skyline on each of the individual season cases, which are also painted in a unique colour that makes a rainbow gradient when all the boxes are placed together. It's nice, and I like it more than the fist issue which was just four cases (though in plastic trays) and I don't believe they list the episodes (this one does on inside cover of each box). The DVDs themselves seem to be directly imported from the individual sets. You can see in the Amazon pictures that the discs have a completely different design from the box. It's weird and makes it seem like some bootleg product when in fact it's just a half-ass one :PAs for the show, I don't think I need to tell you how good it is. If you want to buy it, you know Frasier well enough. It's intelligent and funny. And if you haven't seen all the episodes, it's a joy to watch all of them together and perhaps in a few sittings. They never get old. I have watched the show 4-5 times. It doesn't lose its charms. I still laugh and I know I will continue to laugh thanks to this box set.

Tossed salads and DVD
The Frasier Complete Collection DVD set is a must-have for fans of the classic TV show. The set includes all eleven seasons of the beloved sitcom, as well as bonus features and behind-the-scenes content that will delight fans. One of the main strengths of this collection is the excellent picture and sound quality. The episodes have been remastered and restored, making them look and sound better than ever before. The picture is sharp and clear, while the sound is crisp and clean, making it easy to hear every word of the witty and fast-paced dialogue. In addition to the episodes themselves, the Frasier Complete Collection also includes a wealth of bonus features and behind-the-scenes content. Fans can enjoy interviews with the cast and crew, bloopers and outtakes, and commentary tracks that offer insight into the making of the show. One potential downside of this collection is its price, as it may be considered expensive for some viewers. Additionally, the show's humor may not appeal to everyone, as it is often highbrow and intellectual.Overall, the Frasier Complete Collection DVD set is an excellent choice for fans of the show who want to relive all the laughs and unforgettable moments from the series. With its excellent picture and sound quality, as well as the bonus features and behind-the-scenes content, it is a must-have for any fan of classic television comedy.

A perfect boxset of a perfect series.
THE SHOW: Frasier is a wonderful series. My all-time favourite. It's one of those series' where all the components came together perfectly: snobby Frasier, fussy Niles, their down-to-Earth retired cop father Martin, Daphne (with her bizarre-to-horrifying stories of her childhood, always told with oblivious affection), streetwise Roz, and cute-yet-clever (in his own doggy fashion) Eddie. They created a core of characters you root for, and care about. Characters we happily followed for eleven years. The lines are witty, with one-liners flying through the air like tennis balls; and the show can also do sincere emotion when needed (I'm reminded of the season 10 episode "Rooms With A View").However, Frasier fans already know all this.THE BOXSET: This boxset is a wonderful packaging. Coming in a neat cardboard cover, there are two neat plastic cases inside, each containing 22 DVDs (one for Season 1-6; one for Season 7-11) with books of DVDs, back-to-back (one DVD each side). This prevents scratches. There are English subtitles on all series (some series have other languages, too; though that's inconsistent), and some special features. For less than £30 (as of January 2016) it's a bargain.A must for all Frasier fans.

Evelen Seasons.. "We're listening"
Only two discs of the 36 in this collection were mislabelled ( the one for the other ) All functioned. As to content, the experience of the long journey into comedy and drama, wit and wisdom was well worth the price. It was much lower on-line than in stores, btw.We ended up watching them all ( to make sure there were no technical problems ) and then buying another Fraiser series as a gift for a second family member. The highest praise: wanting to spend this much again to spread the enjoyment.
