The smell is soft and neutral all natural smells. Amazing Heat Protector! Salon quality that leaves Aveda in the dust. So far superior to anything I bought from Aveda. My hair is soft and luxurious after my blow dry, no frizz, ends are nourished not greasy at all. My hair is colored and gray underneath. If I do not get a good blow dry, it becomes frizzy. This heat protection is no joke. No silicone or plastics in this high quality product so your hair can still take in nutrients from the air and sun and doesn’t block healthy normal hair. Excellent product!!

Maybe because I used this on damp hair after towel drying, it wasn't greasy even though I though I applied a generous amount. In fact, it didn't seem to weigh my hair down at all. My hair was smooth and shiny but especially softer. There is no added fragrance. The scent of the ingredients is rather pleasant, light, and doesn't linger. Yes, this is watery. I wish the spray was wider. It's closer to a stream than a spray, requiring me to work it more through my fragile hair. The bottle arrived unsealed. I don't prefer this product enough to pay $22 for it.
