I was misled; it is not compatible with my XPS It covers the ports, and I had to return it, but I couldn't send it back. I had no time. But I have time now. So, I have lost my money. But if they haven't misled me. I would not lose my money. Very disappointing. I don't know if I have dumped the case into the bin or my storage place. My laptop spec: Dell XPS 17 9720 Laptop, Intel Core i7 Processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, RTX 3060, 17" 4K Ultra HD+ Touchscreen, Silver Why would Amazon allow you to mislead consumers? It is not good at all.

Great product. Made well and fits my computer. Easy to put on. I installed both piece with no problem in under a minute. Fast shipping. If I need another case, I would buy this again. The look of this is very nice. Light grey see through so the dell is still showing up. Has vent cut outs on the bottom to allow my computer to breath.

Case functions as advertised, however I’m docking a couple stars because there is an instruction sticker placed directly on the lid of the product. This would be fine if it peeled away easily or was on an outer plastic sleeve, but instead requires you to scratch and damage your brand new case to get it off. My suggestion: use goo gone to make it easier to take off prior to installing, but should not be required for a product at this price point.

I purchased this product even though it doesn't clarify that it fits the newer 9730 model but after studying several pictures of the 9730 and the older XPS 17 models it looked exactly the same so I took a chance on purchasing it to try it out. It fits the 9730 perfectly. The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars as it does seem to make the computer run slightly hotter even though the fan ports are not covered. I do have my 9730 beefed up with the newest NVIDIA graphics card, i9-13900H and 64 GB of RAM for the heavy duty 3D CAD software I use but the slight extra heat doesn't seem to be effecting the performance so far!

Great case. Fits my XPS17 perfectly with one minor flaw. I have a USB extension that I use to connect my wireless mouse, keyboard and 3rd screen. It’s a long USB-C type drive but it doesn’t plug all the way in because of this case. Wish they made that groove in the case a little longer to accommodate.
