Okay, so I was hesitant about spending this much money on a strainer. But I was tired of buying cheap strainers that rusted, fell apart, the holes let rice, etc., escape, and the last straw was when my old, rusted strainer that had wires poking through ran one of those stray wires under my fingernail. So compared with that pain, the price for this strainer was nothing. This strainer is absolutely brilliant, and really is money well spent. It is a seriously quality piece of kitchen kit. No more stray wires, no rust, no rice escaping (seriously you could probably filter coffee grounds through this, the mesh is that good), no problems whatsoever. The handle is so sturdy that it actually acts as a kind of counterweight for the basket, so when it's on a pot, it's not going anywhere. It balances pretty well in the sink, too, which is surprising, as it doesn't have feet. I think it's due to the supporting parts in the basket, which work really well. I don't have a dishwasher, so I can't say how it would hold up in that. But for hand washing it holds up perfectly. This strainer is probably far too posh for my little kitchen, but I love it and look forward to many happy years together.

I love this strainer. It is a good size and heavy enough to be able strain rice and pasta but at the same time it is perfect for sieving flour. It is easy to clean after use and is nice and sturdy and as it is stainless steel it should not rust as my previous strainer did. I highly recommend this item.

Good service and good product

Good product. I'm expecting it to last a long time judging by the construction. I've used it to drain pasta and also sieve flour. The only thing that I'd mention is that it's not seem to be easy to clean as my old one particularly where the metal supports are. I'm sure it would be no problem when using a dishwasher though.

I ordered this sieve after melting my cheap plastic one because I forgot it was plastic - I wasn't looking to spend a lot on something as simple as a sieve, but one thing I've learnt while being a grown up is that if you use something a lot then it's worth spending a little extra on it. And so, I bought the most expensive sieve I've ever bought. On it's arrival I opened the packaging and let out a "Heh" - This thing looks even more impressive in real life than it does in the pictures. It's very well constructed and the holes in the sieve are incredibly small. Got a feeling this thing is going to be with me for a long time to come.

I use this to drain fat from meat in the frying pan. It's big enough that you can quickly empty the pan contents into it without worrying about losing food over the edges, and the mesh is fine enough that none of the food slips through. If you're looking for something for a similar purpose or just a large strainer in general, can highly recommend this one.

Very functional with the supports underneath the strainer to take the weight of the contents. Handy hooks on the strainer to hold it to the pan. Arrived very quickly. Excellent!" (Gave it a 4 for durability as I've only had it a week, gave a 4 for ease to clean as small buts of food can get stuck between the support bars and the underside of the mesh...not a problem, but wanted to mention.

Hey guys, I'm well into cooking and use sieve's almost every day. This sieve is absolutely brilliant! The mesh is sealed in a pressed ring and cannot move. (See pics) It's very well made and is extremely strong, you would not bend it easily. It's got a very fine mesh as you can see in the pics, that's a standard bic ball point pen zoomed in on macro. Going by the build quality on this sieve it is going to last. Ive just ordered another for straining my home brew wine. I highly recommend this product.
