They work if you practice fitting them before
I have previously had bad ear pain on flights and saw these and thought I'd try them. I have used other alpine earplugs that I found difficult to insert but these came with a tool to use to insert. Even though I have reduced dexterity in both hands I was able to insert them no problem. A bit fiddly to get on to the tool. It doesn't block sound completely so I was still able to chat with fellow travellers. However it did make me talk quieter so others struggled to hear me! I had no ear pain the whole flight. Amazing! Very effective. Definitely recommend. The flight home I didn't quite get one to fit correctly so my ear did pop a bit but no real pain so still good. I'd recommend practicing before the flight to ensure a good fit. Easy to remove.

Effective Ear Plugs for Flight Comfort
I recently used the Alpine FlyFit Ear Plugs during a flight, and they provided noticeable relief from ear pressure issues. Here’s my detailed review: What I Like: - Reduces Ear Pressure: I usually suffer from severe ear pressure during and after flights, often experiencing hearing problems for a couple of days. With these ear plugs, I experienced significantly less pressure and discomfort, which was a great relief. - Comfortable Fit: The ear plugs are soft and comfortable to wear for extended periods. They fit snugly in my ears without causing any irritation. - Easy to Use: The ear plugs are easy to insert and remove. They come with a handy storage case, making them convenient to carry and hygienic to store. - Regulates Air Pressure: The design of the ear plugs helps to regulate air pressure changes, which is particularly helpful during takeoff and landing. While I still experienced some ear popping and pressure, it was much less severe than usual. - Reusable: The ear plugs are reusable and easy to clean, making them a cost-effective solution for frequent travelers. What I Dislike: - Partial Relief: Although the ear plugs significantly reduced my ear pressure issues, they didn’t eliminate them entirely. I still experienced some ear popping and pressure, though it was much less than usual. - Effectiveness Varies: It’s hard to determine if the reduced pressure was entirely due to the ear plugs or if it was partly coincidental. However, given the positive results, they are definitely worth trying. Value for Money: The Alpine FlyFit Ear Plugs offer good value for money. Their ability to reduce ear pressure and improve comfort during flights makes them a worthwhile investment for anyone who experiences discomfort while flying. Conclusion: Overall, I am very satisfied with the Alpine FlyFit Ear Plugs. They provided significant relief from the ear pressure issues I typically experience during flights. While they didn’t completely eliminate the problem, the reduction in discomfort was substantial and made my flight much more enjoyable. Given their comfort, ease of use, and effectiveness, I would recommend these ear plugs to anyone who struggles with ear pressure during air travel. Would I buy it again? Yes!

Wish I’d known about these years ago
Absolutely brilliant and have used these on every flight in the last year and zero pain. Can feel pressure building but the earplugs are just magic and it never amounts to pain. Have recommended them to friends and family and they have the same results. If only I’d known about these years ago I would have travelled more by air.

it worked
I have been flying for years and never had any issues at all. Last year however on my way back from Rhodes and sitting right at the back of an A320 my ears started literally screaming about 40 minutes from landing. It got worse and worse and louder and louder and then started to really hurt, like really hurt. Nothing I did made it stop and by the time we finally landed I had gone completely deaf in one ear, almost deaf in the other and it felt like someone had rammed a cotton bud into both ears and hurt like hell. It took 2 days for my hearing to gradually return and I was really concerned obviously. So this time I decided to see if there was anything I could do to prevent this happening again. I bought these ear plugs, put them in before take off and took them out once we were at 39000 feet. I put them back in the minute we started to lose altitude about an hour before landing - like as soon as we were coming down to 35000 feet I knew we were starting our descent and put them in. No problems at all. It could be that it had nothing to do with these ear plugs but I'll certainly be using them every time I fly from now on. The one thing I will say is that I had a cold when I had my problem and my nose was quite bunged up so this time I took the precaution of also taking a sudofed capsule an hour prior to take off, just to help. Apart from anything else they really take the bulk of the jet noise out and turn it into white noise that is quite soothing. You can still hear the cabin crew and announcements with them in. Highly recommended for anyone flying, why take the chance?

Easy to use and works for me!
A lifesaver! I have worn these earplugs for several flights, and I slept all the way from takeoffs to landings, having very little pain in my ears. They fit and stay in my ear even I sleep like a log. I am happy with the effect.

Hit and miss
I purchased these for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I always suffer with pain in my ears whilst flying and ‘go deaf’ for a day or so and secondly I had a bulging eardrum so wanted to protect it as much as possible from rupturing. I had high hopes for them from reading the reviews and item description. Sadly, for me they didn’t have the desired result. Both ears still suffered the same as if I didn’t have them in. You can stil hear if someone is talking to you but your response is significantly lower because you can hear yourself so automatically speak quieter so the other person can’t hear what you’re saying. If you talk louder you feel like you’re shouting all over the plane. So to summarise, great concept. They look good and the little case they come in is great so you don’t lose them but for practicality (for me personally) they didn’t do their job. If you suffer with your ears when flying then it’s worth giving them a try as they’re relatively inexpensive and could work better for you than they did for me.

Good
5 out of 10 times flying I get extreme pain within my ears when ascending and descending. I have use this plug on two flights and I felt my usual soreness come on but never amounted to anything. So I believe this apparatus does work. And if your after noise reduction it does that too but I never purchase for that feature.
