I mounted this camera in my 2019 Ram 1500 crew cab. I used the 3M adhesive pad with mounting bracket. This bracket only allows up and down movement, but that is all you need. The fish eye lens does a great job at capturing the entire cabin and a very wide front view so no side to side adjustment is needed. I like that the inside camera can get what's behind me and on the sides through the windows. This really does give me a 360-degree view of the vehicle which is what I was looking for. I did have one issue when using the app to change the front facing camera to 4k it caused the unit to lock up. I had to use a paperclip to reset the unit per the Kingslim instructions. This did work and the unit was reset. I then used the camera buttons and changed the settings I needed to change on the unit itself. I have had no further issues since this one. I read some reviews that stated the unit got hot. I would say it did get a little warm, but this was more than likely to being placed in the front window in the sun with highs in the low to mid 80's. It definitely was not so hot you couldn't touch it. It was just very warm. I will be purchasing another for a second vehicle very soon.

Kingslim D6-4k is great it's always recording at all times

The dashcam has a very nice modern matte finish that gives it a sleek look. The recording quality is great, I can see details in pictures and recordings well. I really like the accelerometer, if you stop Start, or turn suddenly they takes a snapshot. Date, time, Speed, and GPS location is marked right on the pictures and videos so you don't have to worry about remembering details about a traumatic event. The video recording quality of the interior car is okay, but expected to be lower with a 1080p. The infrared lights show a little at night around the camera, but it's not distracting to the driver. Details are still easily visible. The cord that it comes with to plug into the cigarette lighter makes setup simple. I was able to route the cable around my dashboard and through the trim. I didn't have to use the 3m tape to mount the GPS to the windshield. The signal was fine even though It was dangling a little bit. I am going to order the hard wiring kit though, the 12v plug doesn't have a USB port. The wifi connection is very convenient for downloading videos on the fly, no having to remove the sd card, and transfer time is pretty quick. All in all, for the price you get a good quality dash cam with some decent features to help protect you in the event of something going wrong around you.

Bought 3 of these cameras. Wanted a forward with interior recording. Has gps, video settings, date/time, protected recording where selected vids won’t get erased from loop recording, parking/impact recording etc. Only issue I have is with battery. At six months one camera battery has completely died and will not take a charge. Got replacement warranty. You lose park mode. Normally when turn car off it does a proper shutdown but with dead battery it dies instantly. My other car is starting to do same. I’m going to install a static sun block on windshield to prevent direct sunlight hitting camera when parked on the new warranty replacement to see if that helps.

1. Maybe mine is broken, but it will NOT connect to computer. The option on the camera to connect via USB does NOT show up. 2. Can't record in lower resolution. I HATE 4K/2K. My computer can't play the videos. File size is way too big. Extremely high resolution is not necessary for a dash camera. I'd rather be able to store MORE lower res video then less high res video. I was doing rideshare at the time and wanted to be able to go back as far as possible in case some random scumbag accused me of doing something [again]. It doesn't matter anymore. It turns out the winning move is not to play. Uber is doing things that are crooked, illegal, and dangerous. You would have to be an IDIOT to do rideshare in 2025. Uber should not exist. We have managed to get around long before Uber/Lyft. There is no reason to get in a 🚗 with a random stranger. It's completely unprofessional.)

Love this DashCam!! It’s gets the job done. This is my 1st DashCam so nothing to compare too. Needed DashCam as a safety precaution as a rideshare driver! Easy to install, my 17 year old son did it. Super secure and strong adhesive!! Once the dash cam is stuck to the window. It’s pretty much there permanently. I suggest they offer a tool to assist with placement of the dash cam before it’s secured to make sure there’s a clear view of the backseat. Mine is placed to the right of my rearview mirror. My son thought it was high enough but after viewing recorded footage, I noticed that my headrest of the front passenger seat blocks the head or face of passenger sitting directly behind. So if the person is short under 5ft 5in, I’m not able to see their face at all. Nevertheless, it’s a great purchase! Great proactive measure to be prepared in the event of a bad passenger rideshare situation! My reason fir this purchase!! Also, it gets nice footage of the front area of the car while driving, which is good in case of a car wreck. The only downside to this dash cam is that it must be plugged into the car in order for it to power on & record. Therefore, I don’t have anywhere to charge my cell phone while the DashCam is recording. So before I start rideshare driving, I make sure my phone is at 100%. And I use my car charger when passengers are NOT in the car. About 1 minute before passenger pick up, I remove my Cell phone from the charging port and plug in the Kingslim Dashcam as a work around. Lol Also, the app is pretty good. I just wish there was a SELECT ALL feature to then delete all recordings from the day once I’m done and I’m home. You’re able to select multiple recordings then hit delete. But must do that multiple times to clear out all recordings from the day if they’re not needed. You must also be IN THE CAR to be near the dash cam & DashCam connected to Wi-Fi to view recordings via the App. So, I have to sit in the car 3 to 5+ or more minutes before or after my day of driving to delete recordings. I also wish it came with 5 or 6 more of those sticky connector tools that’s used to secure the wire from the dash cam to the part that goes into the charging port. Would be super helpful because you may have to try multiple location situations before you find the best way to secure the cord in the car. Once you unstick the tool, the adhesive quality is no longer good. So ya gotta get it right the 1st time!! 😉 Another great feature: after 30 seconds of recording (after it’s plugged into the car charger) there’s a setting where the dash cam shows the current time, but it’s still recording. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase! We’re just newbies so we/my son didn’t think about the possibilities of the headrest blocking the backseat passenger.

Received my D6 Dash Cam a little over a week ago and have been using it since. First , way to go Amazon for speedy delivery of the item - 2 days, and for boxing the item well. The D6 Dash Cam is performing way above my expectations. The packaging of the item was well thought out. The accessories were nicely stored in the lower part of the box and the camera was nicely placed above with a protective plastic shield. I initially set the camera up in my office window and plugged it into my power station. This way I had no distractions . I was able to learn the buttons to navigate through the interface of the camera very quickly . I found the Interface extremely easy to navigate through. Very straightforward, VIDEO icon took you to 3 pages of video settings and the SETTINGS icon took you to 3 pages of settings. After you chose the picture quality, which determines the length of recording time, off you go. I installed a 256GB memory card , which in my case gave me over 21+ hours of recording. At this time I mounted the Dash Cam in my car window. The attached suction mount is awesome Just place on glass, level push and turn the dial and we have suction. Very easy to remove and adjust if necessary. Picture quality is awesome. Daytime video is crisp and clear as were snapshots that I took along my drives.. Night Vision and Clarity is awesome also. Overall very satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend.

4-Stars: Just installed the dashcam, very clear picture and audio is good. Haven't had it out while I'm running yet, but warning: this little sucker gets hot QUICK. Within a matter of minutes the little dashcam was very warm to the touch. After about 30 minutes it was HOT. Makes me nervous for how it will hold up for a whole 8hr run but we will see how it goes over the weekend. Connecting the phone to the dashcam itself, requires the cam be actively on WIFI as it redirects the video stream to the phone rather than displaying on the cam screen. Installation was minorly frustrating because the only mounts provided limit where the cam can be mounted. The flat, non-suction cup, one is VERY difficult to slide the cam on and off, and doesn't have very much range of motion. The suction cup is by far the most placement friendly. As it is currently, the mounts only consider a mount point from the top of the windshield/rear view mirror so the cam hangs down. If you were to mount the cam to the dash, the cam would have to be sitting upside down which in turn would record everything upside down. Only ask would be to include a mount that can be stuck to the dashboard so the cam can be mounted upright OR put a setting in the video setting of the cam itself to invert the image so when the cam is upside down your video doesn't record upside down. Edit 04/22/2023: 5-Stars!!! 100% Worth the investment. Yes, the cam gets warm very easily. BUT it works phenomenally. So much so, I ordered my husband one And I recommend this cam to EVERYONE. This camera saved me THOUSANDS in repairs and damages when I was in an accident. The picture and audio are clear. Everyone should get this dashcam because it is truly amazing. I cannot rave about this device loud enough or often enough. I am so grateful I bought this thing. It records front and cabin view, it auto saves collision impacts or hard breaking incidents (you can change the sensitivity else it will auto save every pothole/speed bump). Worth every penny.
