**Q: A hairline crack slowly losing air in a alloy wheel?**
A: I think it would but it would be safer to have the repair carried out by an alloy wheel repair shop. Or at least have it checked after repair.

**Q: Can it glue & stick a metal wing morror mount to a metal braket. So metel to metal using the "glueing" principle?**
A: Hello Oliver

I only used it as a filler to repair an aluminium step up on a 4 x 4 and in my opinion, I don’t think I would want to use it as the sole means of attaching your wing mirror mount.

At the end of the day when you’re driving along there is going to be a fair amount of wind resistance on the mirror and the last thing you’d want is for it to come off damaging your car or someone putting a claim into your insurance for damage sustained to their car or personal injury if it came off and hit someone.
Is there no way you could attach the mirror mount and maybe blind the fixing screws over with Quiksteel.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful as I only used it for making a repair to a damaged surface rather than trying to make an attachment.

**Q: what's the colour when hardened please?**
A: When mixed the "activator" in the middle is black so it ends up being a dull, dark grey once dried.  Kind of like the colour of lead.

**Q: Is this suitable to fill chips and divots on alloy wheels?**
A: Yes just follow the instructions

My husband broke our toilet seat. It is an unusual shape and a new one will take four weeks to deliver. Our son suggested we used Quiksteel. It was easy to use and the seat is as good as new apart from a small chip

This is easy to use and very good for patching holes in aluminium. However it is darker than raw aluminium and as such if you want a cosmetic repair on unpainted metal you possibly want to look at another product. If you're painting it or it's in a hidden area then no worries!
