Hi Slightly confused by reviews on Amazon. Is this a resin filled connector and will it take 4 core 6mm cable? Comment about earth connection requiring a jubilee clip also.

Yes,it is a resin filled connector. It should cope with 4 core 6mm. I didn't use the supplied crimp connectors, used my own. The armour itself is linked using supplied short cable with supplied jubilee clip to ensure continuity of the armour(which should be earthed). Hope this helps.

Hi, would this be suitable to join a 2.5 xlpe cable running 32 amps?

Hi, sorry not sure. I used it for 2.5 armoured cable. It’s been underground for 2-3 years and I haven’t had any problems.

What outside diameter of cable is this made for please?

They don’t specify the outside diameter only 1.5-6mm which is conductor size. You get to trim the ends of the housing to give a tight fit on the outer sheathing of the cable.

I want to use this underground, under a paved path. The plastic unit looks fragile, is it suitable for this if there were movement in the path/soil?

Once the resin is mixed and poured into the plastic it will set hard and make the plastic shell rigid. However I would consider laying it deep under the concrete slabs or next to them so to avoid the slabs being directly on the cable joint.
