Auggie & Me: Three Wonder Stories : Palacio, R. J.: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: Great summer read. - Great summer read for young adults. Review: This is NOT a sequel, but 3 new views at the same time,Julian,Christopher and Charlotte. - I liked this book. Julian sucked at the start of his story, though, trying to defend his actions by saying he was just being funny (Because leaving someone a note that says" You're Mom is probably sorry you were born,do everyone a favour and die", is just hilarious)and not even feeling bad! But then,in the Summer, when he goes to visit his grandmother, she tells him a very sad story that changes his opinion entirely. Christopher's story is next,Auggie's old friend. There isn't that much to say.Christopher tells a few stories about him and Auggie, and their obsessions with Star Wars and space, and about Pluto, the dwarf planet, and the story of when Nate first brought home Daisy the dog. The final story is Charlotte's,lot of new bits about her friendships with Summer and Ximena and Maya, and a blind accordion man,not much about Auggie. So that's my not so brief summary of the book.Just buy it. You won't regret it.

Great addition to Wonder
I originally thought this was a follow on to Wonder. However it is not. This book takes place during the events of the first book wonder from 3 different characters point of view. 1) Julian (the bully from wonder) it was great to get a background into Julian life and find out why he acted the way he did. 2) Christopher (auggie oldest friend) this was probably the weaknees out of the 3. I didn't really connect to this character (probably because he not a big character in the first book with him being briefly mentioned), however you find out why he made finds with auggie and the struggles he faced in being his friend. 3) Charollte - has her very own story about he year and you find out her year was just a big struggle as well as Auggie, and you find out her involvement of the events that occurred in wonder. Overall this was a great read and a must for fans of Wonder. I can't wait to read more

Good, but not the best
This book has 3 different parts: The Julian chapter, Pluto, and Shingaling. Overall it is a good addition to wonder but with some not very good bits. The first part of the book is the Julian chapter. It is the book told through Julians pov, but shortened. The beginning is not very interesting, and it does not really add anything on to the storyline, but there is a very nice ending. The second part of the book is Pluto. It is about August's best friend, Christopher. This was my least favourite part, as it does not add anything on to the storyline, apart from a little backstory. The third and last part of the book was Shingaling. It is about Charlotte, a girl who was asked to be kind and to look out for Auggie. This was my favourite part of the book because even though it didn't add anything on to the initial storyline, it had it's own little story which I enjoyed reading. It was about Charlotte and her friends, and even though it was a little rambly at times, it was a good little story. Overall it was a good buy, some bits were kind of boring, but if you are looking for more Wonder, go for this.

It’s amazing
Read Wonder first. I’m so glad I bought this. The Julian chapter made me cry. My 9 and 7y/o daughters adore these books, I have loved reading them to the girls. Every so often we still say to each other ‘Smell my armpits! Love, Beulah.’ and die laughing.

A must read.
Reading this after reading Wonder with my class of 12/13 year old, haven't quite finished yet but what I have read is fantastic, griping and in depth, Julian's story is very well thought our, why he is the way he is with Auggie, his family history and his emotional state, Christopher's tale, again, is so intriguing, it tells us alot about how youngsters see the world around them. I've yet to finish Charlotte's story but it is turning out not to be what I thought when reading Wonder. This great read makes you think about how we can all be better people in the face of adversity and that not everything is as it seems.

I enjoyed all the surprises and how when they were in the bush on camp his friends stood up for him because seventh grades teased him. I think this book is suitable for ages 8 to 10. This book made me cry and made me laugh my head off. I would read this book again and again and not get tired of it.
