Good product
So far so good. Gave the correct voltage, working spot on. No buzz, hum, no noise at all. Not getting hot/warm. Can’t fault it. If you’re looking at getting a wired doorbell but currently have nothing to power it. Get this, avoid any plug in ones.. they are unreliable.

Great for Ring 2 doorbell and external chime
Works absolutely perfectly. Keeps a 2nd gen Ring doorbell at 100% charge and it states it’s hardwired. This is using the 12v output. It also allows me to use a “old fashioned” ding-dong chime, as the voltage it supplies is suitable for powering it (12 Volts). It does read slightly over this voltage if using a multimeter, but this is normal for this type of transformer. It is completely silent, maybe if you put your ear to it you can hear a faint hum, but compared to some, it’s negligible. It does create a little heat, maybe that of a half drunk cup of tea! But again, is fairly standard for this type of transformer.

Works with Google Nest Doorbell
I replaced our standard doorbell with a Google Nest Doorbell and connecting the wires to the back did not charge it. Measuring the voltage, it was far too low. Therefore I needed a transformer to swap out the doorbell unit entirely. This one does the trick. Takes standard 240v in and emits 8,12 or 20 v ac. I'm now charging the Google doorbell using 20vac. It charges but extremely slowly. We don't have many visitors but have occasionally had to reduce the amount of video it was capturing so that it has time to charge again.

Silent
Bought this to replace a plug in transformer that hummed so loud I didn’t use my video doorbell for months. Using this to power an Aqara G4 and there isn’t a peep out of it, totally silent unless you put your ear right up against it, even then it’s only a faint hum. Really easy to install with good instructions. Also cheaper than those noisy plug in ones. 12v output was alternating between 12V-13V. 100% recommend.

Works for my Tapo doorbell
Please note this is my personal opinion and not advice - you will need to get any wiring professionally installed. I've used this to power a Tapo TP Link D235 doorbell, which I wanted to have continuously powered instead of only battery operated. The hardwiring power supply specifications said "supplied by an 8-24V AC, 10VA minimum transformer" - this transformer works perfectly well for me, doesn't get too warm, and there is no buzzing or humming noise. Wired on a 3 amp fused and switched spur.

Good transformer
Pleased with this, it's compact and has well marked terminals. Been in a month now and hasn't overheated or been any problems at all

Voltage not correct on 12v setting
It works ok, no humming. The voltage on mines reads 15.7v when set on the 12v option, hence the four stars. The supplier did offer to change it, but you have to pay the cost of postage. I kept the transformer, I use it to power an Aqara video Doorbell that has a wide operating range of between 12v-24v so it was not a problem for me.
