I can't go up & down the stairs doing laundry anymore, so I did a lot of searching on Amazon for the right sized machine, & found Costway's portable clothes washer (8 pounds). It was very easy to use the washer (preset programs), Wow, it really cleans clothes just like the full sized machines, except it's done in a shorter time period! I do recommend when you buy the washer to also purchase: Strong Washing Machine stand/wheels, Teflon Plumbers tape, Faucet adapters (male & female), & Net bags. The only problem that I have is that the faucet connectors leak (need more practice with the Teflon tape on the threads to the faucet connectors). My kitchen has a long and narrow faucet, so I was able to use a piece of pool noodle over the faucet connectors (directing the water down), another piece of noodle used to directing the water off of the water hose into the sink, and finally another piece of noodle holding up the water hose higher than the second piece in the sink, noodle standing up at the edge of the sink just before the washer (stops the water from following the water pipe to the washing machine). I find that the washing machine is very quiet, and smoothly changes into the next cycle without any fuss. The pause button is wonderful allowing easy access to add fabric softener or additional clothes. If the machine needs more water it adds it; If the clothes become unbalanced the machine will balance it all before the next cycle. Once the machine finishes the complete washing cycle; the clothes are almost dry and more than ready to put in a dryer or hang up to finish drying the rest of the way.... Costway Portable Washing Machine is very convenient, time, and energy saving. NOTE: The washer is small and doesn't require as much clothes soap or softener....

Once I figured out how to hook this up to our shower this washing machine was great. None of our apartment faucets were compatible, but took the accompanying connector and my shower hose to a local hardware store and was able to figure it out. This machine is pretty quiet, and washes amazingly well even though it just seems to be swishing lightly. We bought it because we use cloth diapers and it's much more convenient for doing frequent loads of various sizes. However now that we have it, we do all sorts of laundry in it, and now only use our building laundry for big loads of sheets and coats. My estimate is that it fits 3-4 full winter outfits, 10-15 prefold diapers, or 9-12 esembly diapers. About exactly a fold out dry rack's worth of stuff!

I have only had this machine for 3 weeks but am really enjoying having the ability to do my laundry in my condo. I recommend getting a small dryer although I used a drying rack for the first week. Great little machine that really works well! I recommend only using 1.5-2 tablespoons of soap. I made the mistake of too much soap and the suds overflowed onto my floor. I purchased a drain strainer for the lint and I clean it after each wash to prevent drain plugging and overflow in my sink. I hope this keeps working, it's great so far!

Does wash clothes. Finding the right connections was a bit tough, had to outsource. But once I did and got it hooked up. It ran good. Seems that it will leak so keep it outside.

Very happy with this product. Works great . Not heavy and great capacity size. It’s not for heavy cloths, ( ex. Jeans , bedding ). It helps when you have a light load, undergarments, shorts, socks some t-shirts. Just can’t overload. Seems durable. Spin cycle is great and drainage is great. It helps me not have to go up and down stairs to do wash. We hook it up in the bathroom and close the door when we use it. Really happy with this purchase!

This portable washer is just what I was looking for. It was easy to unbox, set up and run and I am 84-years old.

I had to contact the seller to find out about a refund and so far all that I have received is the run around with no real response from the seller. Now I get an email about a refund that I requested and it seems that I must pay for the shipping back to the company. Unbelievably unhappy, with my defective product and this unreasonable return policy.

worth every penny. Super easy to set up and use. Just plug in, connect to the sink turn the water on and go baby go. I ran her for 2 days straight and she was flawless. Perfect to wash clothes for my daughter and I. I would highly recommend and would purchase again. Would make an excellent gift. Does not leak, very durable and easy to move around. It also is very quiet UNLESS you over fill it. Very very functional. Get you the portable dryer and the rack to stack these babies up and then ride by your old laundromat and throw up the deuces. You done with that life sis. Yes i love that for US! Hold up, dont talk to bad on the drive by there because you will have to go back to wash your comforters lol

I had the twin tub before that wrinkled the clothes, however this Costway automatic washer is amazing, just attach to your sink. The adaptor is included and let the machine run. I use Tide cold water pods which cleans great and the most important thing is it never wrinkles clothes. Is a very quiet machine as well. I would definately recommend. I put it on wheels that lock when in use and unlock and I roll it into my closet when not in use. Note that the drain could be tricky so I attached the drain hose with tie wrap to the water hose to hold the drain hose in place. when finished I put the two attached pipes in the machine before moving the machine for storage. Love, love this machine.

I have to admit I was having bit of doubt because my new taps in apartment are not compatible. But it’s ok, you can take a bucket and fill it with water and pour in, mix with detergent then add clothes and it will do the wash. No more laundry mat with stinking people. Wash at home and hang to dry in balcony. Best to use in the bathroom near bathtub and toilet, use drain hose to toilet bowl and bucket in tub for quick filling. The bottom rat trap didn’t have holes aligned right so I just used two screws holds just fine. It’s light you don’t need to buy the wheel tray just lift machine at side where indent handles are. I took off the holder for drain hose, was longer to lead to the sink/toilet I need to. This machine will last I can tell. Quick advice: if you will remove the sticker on the front it will be hard to peel and dig off. Use a damp cloth and rub it repeatedly. Use baby oil and soak gently and rub till all adhesive is piled then use a dry paper towel to wipe it off. Complete by buffing the front gently with a microfibre cloth. Definitely worth the $330 after shipping. Will have my moneys worth in six months.

Bought this for my apartment that has shared laundry. It saved us a LOT of money as 1 load was 4.50. Its small loads but does a decent clean if you dont over load it. The only thing that isnt the best is the lint control. Its very linty as the trap doesn't work that well so its stuck on the towels and cloths. My suggestion is to never wash towels with your cloths to avoid the lint. If your hang drying make sure you shake out every clothing piece so it will not dry with the lose lint that will be hard to take off after its dry. But for size wise, it fit in the closet in the hall and as mentioned I preferred to use this then use the building facilities. You wont be able to fit a queen size blanket in it. Not even just the queen size throw blanket. Its too small. The only installation we needed to do was put the attachment piece to the tap in the kitchen which we didn't remove at all. We just detached the hose when we wanted to store it away after use.

Unbelievably unhappy, with my defective product and this unreasonable return policy. I have just washed my first load, a small load and everything works perfectly until it needs to spin at the end. I have removed and rearranged my items 4 times now, but no matter how careful I am to make sure things are evenly loaded weight wise, they end up gathering together on the filter at the back of the tub. After 4 tries I still can wring a lot of water out of my items by hand. There is no way that I can dry these in my small drier without first hand wringing them out and then letting them drip in the bathtub somehow to get some of this water out. I cannot recommend this just because of that. Maybe the filter needs to be placed sideways and more to the bottom of the tub. I'm not sure what the actual answer to this problem might be, but this machine is not a good fit at all for me and certainly not what I expected.

Good for apartments, very quiet and when it goes out of balance it corrects itself . Washes very well too for its size. For a family of four 2 kids we wash once a week and this little machine does an amazing job. Would recommend save me a ton on apartment laundry.
