How can a fish or shrimp food be non-polluting?

If fed properly, the shrimp eat the part that would be polluting before it can muck up the water.

How does this work? The shrimp swim around the pellet, which expanded in the water, but don't land on it to eat.

The pellet falls apart, the pieces grow biofilm, and the shrimp eat the biofilm.

Do snow flakes have an expiration date? if so, how do i tell the date? the 2nd bag i bought contained discolored, hard pellets.

The best before date might have been on the part you tear off to open the package because I can’t find one on mine either and I think they are required under German law. Generally products like this can be good for years as long as the package is resealed properly after each use. As for the discolored pellets, if they didn’t smell or otherwise seem rancid it might just be due to variation in batches. It’s also possible that excessive heat or moisture might have affected the product. I can’t tell you without seeing it so you’ll have to use your own judgement there.

I like to give my shrimp a variety of food for their health. They seem to really enjoy the GlasGarten Shrimp Snacks. My shrimp are thriving and breeding. So they must be getting the nutrition that they need. It is a small package but last a long time. I believe it to be a quality product and will continue using it.
