Review: Great cheaper replacement for a V6 Animal Dyson - I was a bit sceptical as to how great this attachment would be for the hand-held V6 Animal, but glad I took the gamble after reading lots of positive reviews about it on here. This one at £17.39 against a £60-£70 branded dyson one was a no brainier. Yes it’s not quite as good as the dyson head, but it’s never going to be as the dyson technology is superb. This is however a great budget replacement. Way better than I thought it would be. The suction on hard floors and very short pile carpet is actually better than the dyson in my opinion. On long pile better quality carpet it’s hard going to push it back and forth as the suction is so good on it. Where this one comes down in the ratings for me is that it doesn’t have the pile-adjustable slider on this attachment, where the dyson does. The head of this attachment is a fair bit smaller than the dyson, but again, in my opinion this is better as it allows you to get into smaller areas than the dyson attachment allows. I actually think this cheap £17.39 attachment is brilliant. It’s well worth every penny, especially in this current economic climate where every saving helps. I’m thrilled with this attachment. It is really really good and without sacrificing on quality or suction at all. The movability of this attachment isn’t quite as smooth as the moving ball joint of the dyson but it’s never going to be…..but it’s certainly good enough for what I need. Very impressed and saved me around £40-£50 extra buying the dyson branded one. It’s a 9/10 from me. A very good budget alternative with excellent suction.
