Although I did mix it with his existing seed there was no need to do that. My reason for changing to this seed mix is that it doesn't have raisins in it which my Conure doesn't eat. I'm wondering about the "dried banana" in the ingredients list: There are no banana chips in the pack I received. But a reasonable mix of seeds, heavy on Sunflower but very light on berries and nuts.
