The lamp is quite large and ungainly but for that you get a very decent spread beam and two modes (full power and half power). Side visibility it taken care of by two smaller sections of yellow.The rear light is a coffin shape with the red lamp wrapping around the sides for excellent side visibility. It's fixed by way of a rubber strap, quite a standard fixing for rear lamps these days and nice and easy to swap from bike to bike. You only get a solid mode for the rear lamp. A flashing would be nice but it is suitably retina burning to make this not too important.Both lamps are charged by way of a micro USB socket (on the front lamp it's underneath and on the rear at the back where is sits against the seatpost) so you can plug them in to a computer or USB charging socket. You get a charging cable in the packet. The sockets seem well weather sealed, although I haven't tested them to destruction.I haven't yet run them for the stated 3.5 hrs to see whether the charge holds up but anything over 2 hours should be reasonable to allow you to forget to charge them at least once and still get home. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good lights for evening/night time riding *by S***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 29 January 2018* I've been quite surprised as I wasn't expecting this kind of bright lights.The front light has two settings and the brighter one would keep the whole road flooded in light. It's that bright that most of the time I'm using the dimmer setting as even that is bright enough to ride the bike in the evenings. The front light lasted over 9 hours on this option on one full charge (takes just over 30 minutes to charge in full). The build quality is excellent and adding and removing the front light is pretty simple and takes just seconds.The back light is well made too but not as superior as the front one. I'm not saying it's bad and still would pass as a five star backlight it just isn't as nice as the front light but I guess it's just me being too critical. The light itself is bright enough to be seen from 100 yards and even the angle is good too, over 180 degrees of visible red light. Testing the battery life, it took about 20 minutes to charge it and lasted something over four hours. Good and quick fitting using a rubber strap.Overall I'm really pleased with this purchase. I would say its 'alright' but not amazingPros:Both back and front light are nice and bright which is very usefulEasy to put onto bike (both front and back)Fast chargeCons:Front light is big! Maybe my error for not double checking the measurements but front light is extremely long for a bike light.Loses charge very quickly. Have to charge every week as it drains so quickly with only average use. Whats frustrating is that it doesnt dim before fading just cuts out so you can be cycling along after work not realising your back light as stopped working.Power button for rear light very hard to pressThe stand for the front light is not catered for road bike handbars. it was an extremely tight fit to get it on my bike and I went over one pot hole and the whole light with handbar holder for the light came off. Fortunately it hasnt happened sinceNo flashing mode (maybe my error not that of seller) - A slow flashing mode is so useful in well lit areas as I believe it makes you so much more obvious without the awful strobe some lights have.
