Vallejo Non Metallic Metal Colors

My husband got this set because he needed some more paints for his hobby. He 3D prints and paints lots of different models and totally LOVES Vallejo paints. It's the only brand he will use.

Vallejo is the standard to many painters for a reason. The color selection for this kit is great, especially for gold NMM. Everyone has their own recipes for NMM but this is a great starting point and honestly you could play it safe and stick with these colors forever and (assuming it’s well executed) people will think you’re a NMM wizard As far as the sale, it showed up on time and was well packaged. The cost per paint is great for the quality if you’re using all the colors (which you will eventually, right?). Not much more to say.

This is an amazing set of paints. I've been using Vallejo paints for years. I've known how to apply this particular technique but my color selection has been what held my finished paint jobs back. The guide is priceless, although it does the typical "included guide" thing and skip over some much needed details, like the fact that it utilizes airbrush and how to properly glaze/wash. I wouldn't say this is for beginners, as you'll need to know where to place the highlights to achieve maximum results - the guide also breezes through highlight/shade theory - but it's definitely a good starting point for those who are looking to achieve this advanced technique. Update 2/26/16: I've gotten to use this set much more since my initial review and it's been a staple in almost every model I've painted since. I've also used them through an airbrush after using Vallejo Thinner Medium for awesome results. I highly suggest when buying this to add Vallejo Glaze and Thinner Medium in order to use the Turquoise glazing, as well as using more black in the gold recipe for shading.

great quality, paints are fresh, there's also some nice examples with the pack. great value.

Not much to say, really. You can use the paints for NMM effects, or you can use them by themselves.

vallejos paints rock. they may be a bit expensive but are the best paints you can buy.

Apesar de ter chegado lacrado, veio sem o step by step informado na embalagem e uma tampa chegou quebrada. Contava com o step by step para buscar aprender esta técnica. Pedi para a Vallejo mas até agora nem resposta do pedido recebi.

Le package comprend 8 pots pour traiter des NMM dorés ou argentés, les peintures sont fluides et s'étalent facilement, et le petit guide est suffisamment clair pour comprendre les étapes du NMM (à consolider avec quelques tutos et ça fait l'affaire). Un superbe rendu une fois qu'on maitrise la technique (et qu'on a un peu de talent ce qui n'est pas mon cas)
