Once clipped to the belt it is there securely. It does just pull off of the belt. Admittedly it takes a bit of effort to remove the holster from the belt. It has a strap with a snap to keep the gun in the holster. The gun fits firmly in the holster and doesn't wobble around. It comes out of the holster with minimal effort when I want it to. For me it is doing what I bought it for. I think for my purposes it is a great holster for a great price. I put the g2c in it clipped it on my belt in a cross draw position ,wore it all day running errands ,very comfortable and unobtrusive. the clip holds securely and tight to my body good quality at this price.
