Didn't buy it as a selfie stick but more for holding a tablet, when taking photos. Makes taking photos a lot easier and gives you something more sturdy to hold onto, for steady shots. Nice to have the option of a tripod too and the remote button works just great via Bluetooth. Holds the tablet or phone very firmly too.Nice piece of kit, have to say. Already a battery in the remote and nice to have a spare included too.
