Good quality tape
I used this tape to mark moving boxes (red for boxes that went to our rental house). It stayed stuck on both the cardboard boxes and plastic totes very well. I barely even used one roll for our move, so a little goes a long way! It was easy to tear with my hands, no need for scissors.
