The mask itself is made of a durable sheet of plastic concealing several hundred, fully programmable LED bulbs which can be customized into any color and shape.The software (which can be downloaded from the Google Play store) has a number of pre-loaded assets that you can use for a quick mask solution but if you want to add a personal touch, you have options. For custom images you have three choices:1. Upload your Image form a Custom File2. Draw your Image3. Use TextApplications for this mask can range from streaming, to Halloween costumes, or even the occasional rave. I plan to pair it with a black hoodie and get all mysterious. All in all, the whole thing gives an outstanding effect and because it's so customizable, you can bring it out any time of the year, and for virtually any event save for black tie affairs.When you're putting it together, the battery compartment is located at the top of the mask, but keep in mind that it uses three AA batteries and the third battery slot is below the flange. Battery life is decent, and phone connectivity is consistent. Definitely something you would get for an easy but cool costume at Halloween. Basically, all you need to do is add a hoodie and you have an instant costume. Not the most comfortable for long term wearing , but it’s definitely easily wearable and a a good buy for the price point. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fun and Easy to use Face Transforming LED Mask *by R***. on May 7, 2024* I bought this mask after seeing another friend use it when he's at the club performing flow arts. It's an inexpensive alternative to some of the more expensive LED masks out there.After opening the box, it came with the mask and a little instruction pamphlet. Simply follow the directions to download the app.The only hiccup was that the instructions didn't have enough detail and the app wasn't quite as intuitive in setting up the Bluetooth connection. It took me a few tries to connect the app to my phone, but once it was done, the rest was easy to figure out.The app comes with a lot of preset faces, some animated, some static. You can also custom make your own face by either taking a selfie or using one of your photos on your phone. This was really fun, especially making funny faces. The app saves it to the LED mask and your custom face is now on the mask.This version takes 3 AA batteries. Magnetic Man does sell a version that's recheargable so please read the directions carefully to get the one you prefer.To scroll through each face, there is a sensor at the top front of the mask. Just lightly touch and swipe your hand downwards to change each face.Due due the density of the LED's on this mask, you need to step a bit back farther to fully see the mask at its best. However, at the price, its a good deal. Higher LED density masks also come with a much higher price. If you want someone fun for you and/or your kids and friends, then this is better option.It's fun and easy to use and if you run out of the 3 AA batteries, spares are easy to carry around and replace.
