Bought as a gift for a horse mad granddaughter. She says it is a very good book.

Great horsey book for those riders wanting or are taking exams to work in the horse industry I find if very interesting and very helpful to help achieve your goals.

Good book with some useful information
Very good book. It goes through the basics of both caring for and riding horses. As it's written by the BHS the information is accurate. As it is level 1 there isn't much depth into the information but it does give a good base to build upon.

Detailed but expensive.
A lot of information on basic horse care, including lots of pictures and diagrams. Perfect for horse owners and also first time owners. However, a bit on the expensive side, especially if you are buying the other 3 BHS horsemanship books.

A great book for level 1. Very straight forward and simple to understand. Would definitely recommend for anyone doing a level 1 or for someone who just wants to know more about horses.
